The Mutant Factor is a 2 map (soon to be 3) singleplayer campaign set in a universe similar to the Crysis universe but with notable exceptions. There are several new characters and enemies that Nomad will have to face as well as new abilities for the player to utilize. This started as a simple map for Crysis and became something more as I created new characters and additional abilities. In my opinion, at that point, it became a mod.
Map 1 - "Rescue Mission": Nomad is sent on a mission to determine why the KPA have setup bases on several remote islands. His transport is shot down and he must track down survivors. Along the way, he sees some mysterious activity which requires investigation. First he sees KPA soldiers just drop dead in front of him for no apparent reason, then a new set of soldiers in strange protective gear inhabit the island. Not only must Nomad solve this mystery but he also has to survive long enough to get that information back to HQ! Along the way, he hears a famliar voice and has strange visions. What can all this mean? Map 2 - "The Mutant Factor": Nomad passes out in the VTOL on the ride back from the last mission, only to wake up in an underground facility in the aftermath of a brutal battle. You find out that the infection discovered in "Rescue Mission" has found it's way back to america and Nomad must fight his way out of the facility. Strange visions and voices haunt him again.
