OK
So its all done, i have working achievements, that not only give the game a much better feel, and more to do, but also makes it a hell lot more fun!!
I have them 100% working, but they can only be used with my launcher, so it gives the launcher another use. Anyone having doubts about the launcher, you have the realise this is the only way i can do it, plus the launcher has other features, such as launching the game, installing add-ons and maps, and updating the game with new mod updates, and custom content that i think is awesome, that could be made by the community.
I can have as many achievements as i like, the more the better!
This first image shows the launcher under development. Everything works, and the main thing that needs finishing is the "n00b" friendlessness of the application to remove any chance of a fatal error.
After fixing these problems i shall go on to make the GUI better, and make different skins for the application that i hope a select few will create or even use to be real honest.
On the left is just things about updates, and the map list, the bottom is about add-ons (that work now as well) and on the right is the achievements list.
There are only 4 achievements at the moment:
Creep Off - Find a Creep, and KILL it!
Baron Of Evil - Find a poor, innocent child, and KILL it!
Balloon Artist - Find the water balloons.
GMAN!!!! - Find the zombie GMAN, and Banish him!
And the last two are just common ones:
Achievement Locked...
Achievement Unlocked, or Achievement Image Missing.
This next image shows what will happen ingame after killing a creep for the first time:
**THE "ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED" IMAGE WILL ONLY SHOW IN WINDOW MODE BUT YOU WILL STILL GET ACHIEVEMENTS IN FULL SCREEN!**
And this last image is what is achieved when you close the game and return to the launcher or ALT+TAB out to check :)

If you have some awesome achievements for me to create, then just leave a message with the name, the VERY short description, and a longer description just for me to understand were to place it or whatever. If you make an icon, then even better!

I believe it's dead. That's one of the reasons why I don't think you should compare it to Mortewood.

Looks ok i guess love the road bump mapping :p nice feature having the launcher. This mod just seems kinda low on content atm from your images all i can see is a dead rising wannabe :s.
Brainbread Source? You could relate every zombie game to another, like deadrising is a lot like mortetown, not duh! Or Zombie Panic seems like zombie survival on Gmod. constructive comments would be nice.
Cept ZP is the original that inspired Zombie Survival. But true enough.

I love zombies and zombie mods and we could use more! Ignore the "omg another Zombie mod comments" I've been hearing that before there were zombie mods and today there are still so few released ones. Best of luck to you.
I believe that zombie mods are a whole genre. Just like FPS or RPG, so having many of them is just awesome, more variety and more fun :)

So please keep this about my mod and not how its "reletive" to something that has probably died. All zombie mods have something in common.

I'm liking this launcher thing, especially if you can update the game in it. There's nothing more annoying than manually downloading patches when I want to play a mod. Good work, especially on the achievements!

Jack Thompson is banned out of all courts, also im in the UK so its not illegal i don't think. Also they are zombies, and im releasing a patch to remove children, for those who feel its a little OTT :)

Ima try add more features, and i know the program doesn't look anything special yet (GUI) but when i get all the skins and proper layout, im sure people will like it more :)
i like the launcher :O.you can add maps and what not,although i did not like the part where it said you NEED the launcher in-order to get acheivements D:.but,i would use it because it is cool X3.
Well as far as i know, its impossible to get proper achievement's. Because you need the Steam works SDK. I could be wrong, but very few mods have it so it seems right.
You don't have to get achievements. BUT, you don't HAVE to use the launcher. Its just needed to get your achievement's. If you play the game, and then get an achievement, then next time you launch the game, those achievement's will be installed :)

okay, as usaul, i got some ideas for you Dec;
a "pin a zombie to another zombie with nail gun" acheivement?
as well as:
-run over two child zombies at once with car
-kill 25 zombies in a row with guitar (title it "guitar solo")
-clear entire level using only the frying pan
-kill boss zombie with only fists
-kill 25 zombies in bullettime
-kill [number] child zombies in a row with a [weapon]
Awh man some of them are bloody awesome!!
But! i still need to advance in programming to get that far, cant stop me from trying to get stuff like that to work :)

Don't worry about people who are flaming they are probably just envious, hell I'm envious. I've been kicking around a mod idea for like, years now and I can't do jack. This is looking really good, you've got great media goin on and let's just hypothetically say it *is* similar to Dead Rising who the hell cares? Will still be fun as hell. Having as much work done so far as you do is a great accomplishment as it is! Keep it up :)
Yeah man, Well its zombie related, so of course its similar to Dead Rising, just like Left 4 Dead! I have used ideas that are reletive becuase they were so good, and i want to use form the greatness from that game and bring it to my mod.
I just want people to understand this is not dead rising: Ssource, but that its going to be something much better :)
