Total-conversion mod for SWBF2 that adds the Mass Effect era to Instant Action. You can fight as the Systems Alliance, the Heretic Geth, the Collectors, or the Evolved Geth on six new custom maps, all of the stock maps, and all maps from the Sol Map Pack.
Here's the second pass of the shuttle takeoff (as well as the ambush sequence).
Changes:
- Exaggerated the radial blur in the thruster pfx
- Implemented 'door closing' sound
- Synchronized the takeoff sound with the takeoff animation
- Fixed the door's bone position
Need to fix the z-fighting in the ambush sequence's shuttles' thruster pfx and implement a proper door open animation/sound.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Money? Pay off my $70k student loan debt pls thx? :n
Will there be Shuttle engine animations so it looks like they stabilize the ship?
At first I was going to not bother trying to implement such animations simply due to limitations with the way prop animations work in the engine, but I *might* actually be able build them into the door close animation. With that said, I'll definitely look into it later today!
Would be good to add some particles at around 0:10 (like in space battles in original BF2) to make it look like those shuttles are actually moving. Or just some background :) Other than that, it's really great!
As for additional background - Jupiter could be visible in the sky.
