Mass Effect: Unification (formerly known as "The Mass Effect Mod") has been sitting in my head for quite some time now. As a lot of you probably already know, Mass Effect, developed by BioWare, is a third-person, role-playing shooter set in the 22nd century in our Milky Way galaxy. Not only is this a large era mod, but it also has its own exclusive maps as well as cool shell (menu) changes to match the color scheme from Mass Effect 2.
The name "Mass Effect: Unification" works because this mod is the unification of the three Mass Effect epics into a single mod.

In light of SWBF(3) being announced at E3, and considering I have too much on my plate to work on this, I am ceasing all work on this mod. I will be archiving this project within the week.
I will be keeping all the assets, I might use them in a future mod. I have a grand mod planned that I've talked little about in public, but oh is it going to be good. I will also divert more effort in TCW's direction(I want to get that out the door as soon as possible), as well as keeping up my continued development of Mass Effect Unification with Marth.
The whole reason I started the SWBF3 mod was because I gave up on SWBF3 being officially made, and with it announced at E3, I feel I do not need to make this. Additionally, there's a standalone project out there, for Crysis, trying to do the same thing. Battlecry, check them out. Moddb.com

Hello mod creators.
Regarding the moron known as DarthEvil3000, please do not feed the trolls. This one is getting quite fat. Trolls feed off of responses. Most trolls die within 1-2 weeks of isolation. In short ignore it.
P.S.
Love the mod. Keep up the good work.
Yeah we've pretty much already decided to ignore him. I've even notified a few modding friends of mine about him.
Peace.
@DarthEvil3000
Forgive me if I don't put much stock in your words, considering you tried to impersonate Darth Spiderpig.
The reason we are trying to create mods that don't feel like "just another Battlefront II mod" is because we have so many of those already. Mass Effect: Unification and The Clone Wars don't follow a typical methodology to the side design. Battlefront III on the other hand is supposed to feel like a Battlefront game, this was explained to you. You either didn't understand because English isn't your first language, you're young, or you're just an idiot (or some combination thereof).

Woot Woot.
Dude, seriously? It's sorta kinda really difficult for the lead developer to work on TCW or BF3 when his modding hard drive is completely inaccessible and the computer containing those hard drives fatally crashes.
To be honest, I'm bored with Star Wars mods. They almost all end up being the same exact "Clone Trooper 555th Regiment Q" re-texture with missing sounds and flat maps that use the same exact default command post setup and just ARGH! It's all the same stupid crap! Luckily, WULF (lead developer of aforementioned mods) and I aim to do (and successfully accomplish) the exact OPPOSITE of that by making our mods feel as different from Battlefront (or in Battlefront III's case, as close to what he thinks the real BFIII would have been like) as possible. In fact, I don't ever plan on creating any maps based on Star Wars locale; I'm planning only real-life locations and junk from other games and universes and associated media sources.
Now shut it before I cut all support to you for this mod and banana you from this page somehow. :/)

YOU MAKE NO ******* SENSE!!! So your honestly saying that Battlefront III woulda contained other Reallife junk form other universes? You really think that that woulda been reallife to have other universes not related to starwars at all Be inside the Battlefront III game?? Your honestly saying Battlefront III is not its own universe? And just because you are bored with the starwars universe mods doesnt mean we are! And why the hell would you make the exact opposite if this game was originally based on Battlefront II? I mean hahha i can't be the only one thinking this? did you guys seriously hear what he said?? HAHA. We want Star Wars Battlefront II Mods. Not mods on other universes. If we wanted that we would simply go buy that game for Pc and get mods for that game. SMh
Seriously, if you're going to continue to be like this and have this kind of bad and pathetic attitude, get the **** out; get off of my page. Gah, you've wasted over three hours of my precious time already. God, I could have finally figured out, fixed, and gotten my new foley library working in-game if it weren't for you.
Oh, and reality check, dillhole: you're not my ******* boss; I can create whatever the blastshit **** I want and there's nothing you can do or say that will stop me. This is my hobby and you have no right to tell me how to do it. (ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY DO A HOBBY!)
See, the whole problem with "going out and getting Mass Effect for the PC and making/playing mods for that game" is that you *can't* really make or play mods for it, other than implement basic visual modifications such as model/texture changes. This is because the game is so freaking complex with its millions of algorithms and outputs, and also probably because it's just not the kind of game (RPG) that one would really make mods for. Oh, and there's also the fact that there isn't really an official set of mod tools supplied for the game; the best people can get any results with is the Unreal Engine tools, since that's the engine the game is built on. Mass Effect only really has a "campaign mode" - the exception to this being ME3's multiplayer mode, but that's different; you can't go back and play previous missions (well, you can, but only sorta and you need to modify game save files and just ugh) and there's no "battlefront-style" gameplay modes or anything to play in. Battlefront modes are exactly what Battlefront is good at doing. (Lolz herpity derp totally no connection.) Star Wars Battlefront II is merely a tool for me to develop mods *of my own liking* with; I can do whatever I want with the Mass Effect (or any) universe because the BF2 mod tools are just so darned easy to use (heh, in some occasions where you happen to have the PERFECT machine to build develop on and numerous errors don't normally occur).
Nope. Wrong. I said WULF's BF3 mod is his own iteration of what *HE thinks* SWBF3 would have been like, had it been created. In a completely opposite case, most of the maps and mods that *I* am planning are not going to take place in any Star Wars locale, (partially because making it a true Star Wars locale is just making, for example, a map that looks like a forest and slapping the name "Endor" on it) but many of said maps will still have Star Wars sides.
You just don't get it, do you? I am sick and tired of playing something we've all seen 5,555 times; I want something fresh, something new, and something non-Star Wars, because guess what? It's not easy to create something new and fresh and Star Wars when most of it's already been done. (Thanks a lot, Mav, sheesh! LOL) The whole point of this mod is to make Star Wars Battlefront II as much like Mass Effect as physically possible, hence the fact that at this current time and date, only about 5% of the stock assets (minus stock maps) are being used. 95% of all of the art, (animations eventually :O ), sound, ODFs (weapon/unit/etc. configuration), and sound assets are tailored specifically for this mod, a Mass Effect mod.
To be completely honest, I actually really do not care all that much for most of the Star Wars universe; I really only like the movies, a few of the games, a book or two and that's really just about it. I have no idea why; I just don't care all *that much* for it.
His laptop is already replaced. The problem is transitioning hard drives. Seriously though, shut up. How dare you tell him to give up? Frayed Wires does not give up; we do not back down; we will always persist; we will continue to achieve; we must continue to succeed until the end of time; we will never fail.
