Mod DB | MediaFire

Set in the 22nd century, Mass Effect, developed by BioWare Corporation, is a third-person, role-playing shooter that focuses on the story of Commander Shepard, an Alliance Marine who must do everything possible to save the galaxy from the Reaper threat.

Mass Effect: Unification is a total-conversion mod that adds a new era to stock maps as well as new custom maps. As of v1.2 (R5), you can fight as the Systems Alliance, the Heretic Geth, the Collectors, or the Evolved Geth on Eden Prime, the Prothean Skyway, Virmire, most of the stock maps, and all maps from the Sol Map Pack.

On Thursday, October 2nd, I left for Vancouver, Canada to move into school-sponsored student housing, and today was my first class at the Art Institute of Vancouver. For those of you who don't know, I'm attending school there to receive my diploma in Game Art & Design. It's ranked #8 in the Princeton Review's top 25 Game Design schools in North America (full list), and during most of the program's 18 months, I'll be significantly less active on Gametoast and Mod DB, which means I will be mostly inactive in modding as well. "What does this mean for Mass Effect: Unification though :000000000," asked no one? Well, it means I'll be handing the project over to THEWULFMAN (until I graduate) who will mostly just push updates consisting of primarily art updates as well as the occasional hotfix. In the meantime, I'll be in the process of being taught by industry professionals how to write design documents, design levels, properly manage a team, and so on.

It's been a fun ride. Keelah se'lai.

For some reason the Polis Massa and Geonosis maps always cause my game to crash to my desktop within a few minutes of game play, and without an error message. I do not have this problem on any other map. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? Thank you.

What up with the fact that single player matches tend to be one sided most of the time? Like if i'm the alliance vs the geth, the enemy already have taken half of the CP's on the map, while my side act stupid and would rather care more about killing enemies than going for CP's. It's notable on utapau where all my forces were concentrated in the middle part of the map near the hanger, and some on the highway leading to the rear command posts at the back of the map. However they didn't want to advance towards the other enemy command posts, while the geth on the other hand very aggressively rip through all my guys and reach the hanger( Hanger was eventually defended from the geth). Soon I only have 1 command post, and my guys still are hesitant to move forward and instead want to stay in the middle of the map fighting the geth.

I also noticed that the Collectors are pretty hard to beat on insanity since Harbinger randomly spawns and kicks my *** regardless of the hero setting.

That's really odd, because in our testing it's pretty balanced.

Also, the Sol Map pack doesn't support MEU at this time, but they will.

A similar situation is on tantive IV, where at the start of the game all the collectors come as well as my alliance guys; well my entire first wave got annihilated, and our two other command posts quickly got captured, so that leaves us with the bridge only. Second once the enemy capture the rest of our command posts, they send massive amounts of units continuously until the hallways are full of collector units, which causes my entire army and myself to become trapped on the bridge. Thus it become almost impossible to get out since the the collectors just kept on coming and coming on the bridge and going on a rampage; they also had harbinger most of the time, which was a pain in the butt to kill(unless I used the grenade launcher), unlike shepard who was easy to kill even by a dozen assault rifle shots.
