The Lord of the Rings - Total War
Rome: Total War mod | Released Nov 8, 2007
This mod for Alexander Total War is set in the Lord of the Rings theme based on the works of Tolkien and Movies of Peter Jackson.
It features all new factions, units, menus, music and much more!
Custom heroes, movie likeness units.
In the 2.0 release there will be a campaign map and quite possibly custom buildings but not custom cities like Minas Tirith YET.
And a special for 1.1c is The Battle of the Last Alliance with the Elves, Numenoreans and Sauron's armies!

The Lord of the Rings: Total War Version 2.0 is here!
It has finally arrived people, the Lord of the Rings: Total War v2 Open Beta is available!
The Lord of the Rings: Total War or LotR: TW is a full conversion for the game Rome: Total War Alexander. It contains several factions spread among 4 different races Men, Elves, Orcs and Dwarves which each have a great variety of units and beasts such as the mighty Mumakill, Trolls and Nazgul.
The biggest new addition is ofcourse that you will be fighting good or evil on a completely new campaign map (credit for METW) this time, control the Fellowship in their quest to help Frodo and Sam reach Mount Doom and destroy the One Ring once and for all or send forth your legions to make the Dark Lord rise again. You decide the faith of Middle-earth!
This is the new installer containing several fixes.

and how can be third age beter if you didnt played -.-
is it just me or did the new patch mess up the campaign building icons and units?
hi i only just got the mod and cant install it i did all the right things it just says theres a error while loading
u need to creat a seperate shortcut, i actually installed this mod the day it came out so i cnt quite remember, but it doesnt change alexander, it creates a seperate folder within alexander folder, and doesnt affect original game, so clickin alexander link will do bugger all but start alexander.... read instructions again carefully, and try again, and if it fails, ask again, or ask others for help...this mod is worth all the trouble of gettin it goin:)
Gibby_666 when i start playin the mod through tge new shortcut it says failed to read censored word dictionary file:data//chat_filter.san PLEASE HELP

Do you really need Rome Total War Alexander for this mod or is the normal "Rome Total War" fine to? I only have Rome Total War, should the mod work or do i have to but Rome Total War Alexander?
