Well it is a matter of luck really, if he spawns near you, you can easily kill him.

I recently lost the motivation for the Noldor campaign I was playing. Reason was that I used toggle_fow just out of curiosity.
And I saw:
-Galadhim were destroyed
-Half Gondor, including Minas Tirith, was captured by Mordor
- Dwarves and the Mirkwodd elves only had one region left

... and I was too far away and hadn't even an army ready to help them :-(
Is this a known gameplay issue or is there a feature to avoid that?

Wulfburk12 Jan 29 2012, 10:17am replied:

Yeah i woudnt call that an issue, it would be a bigger problem to see Mordor and the other evil factions eliminated or near death. Playing the good factions will be a fight for survival (unless you cheat or playing on easy). As the others have said, you should always try to support the AI good factions with your armies.

OR for a faster way (but high chances of failure) you can search the one ring, and destroy it on Mt Doom!

You're playing a TW mod. Obviously factions may be destroyed.

The only thing you can do is to send them support armies as soon as possible, and retake their fallen lands. I'm pretty sure you can give them back to their original owners, if you're allied with them.

lol What i did was send 4 things of regular archers and loaded them into boats and had them land at Pelargir. Killed 12 Mumakill and over 3000 haradrim and another 800 Orcs (not in one battle of course) If you keep your men ready to fire they will take out most of the weaker foes.. And then once i had the chance i built up the High Noldor Army and destroyed Barad-Dur :)

yep, RTW can only use up to 2GB of RAM and only one core, but i have to say i find your issue strange, i have 2GB of Ram, a 1.9 GHZ single core processor, and a 9500 gt 1gb and i play on Huge scale with maximum graphics, except no detailed unit shadows and unit graphics is on high, not very high, the detail on the units on both setting is the same, but on very high there is no unit sprites, so even when you are far away from the unit with the camera, the unit will be 3d, therefore it may lag, sprites will make the unit change to 2d when you are far away from it, increasing performance way more.

Perhaps you could try lowering your unit settings.

Or you could search for a utility that allows RTW to uses up to 3gb, i heard there is, but i never used it (since i only have 2gb) Try searching on google.
