It has finally arrived people, the Lord of the Rings: Total War v2 Open Beta is available! The Lord of the Rings: Total War or LotR: TW is a full conversion for the game Rome: Total War Alexander. It contains several factions spread among 4 different races Men, Elves, Orcs and Dwarves which each have a great variety of units and beasts such as the mighty Mumakill, Trolls and Nazgul. The biggest new addition is ofcourse that you will be fighting good or evil on a completely new campaign map (credit for METW) this time, control the Fellowship in their quest to help Frodo and Sam reach Mount Doom and destroy the One Ring once and for all or send forth your legions to make the Dark Lord rise again. You decide the faith of Middle-earth! This is the new installer containing several fixes. no do i have to have alexander total war to download lotr total war mod?
can i get some help i followed the installation instructions but i still cant play
downloaded patch 1.3 and patch 1.5. Then downloaded LOTRTW. Completed task list assigned but game still will not play. Can anyone offer any direction.
you guys... sweet mother of god, i havent been this sucked into a video game mod in a long long time. i mean ive hit bugs and flaws and things i wish were different but regardless this game is brilliant.
One thing i beg you to change!
Different buildings for each side, I mean i can understand when your in an old town that was recently taken over by Mordor or The Orcs the buildings will be similar but like as you go into mordor could you make the black gate. or the one that really bummed me out was Isengard (i hope thats spelled right)
im sure your aware but if you intend to fix this sometime in the near future lemme know, i think beyond that its perfect.
O and the lady that gives you advice has gandalfs picture now. keep that i find it hilarious xD!!!

Rome... its the most amazing mod no doubt but always remember why. Without original Rome engine there will be no amazing mods for it.
But now im going beat the **** from Mordor.
First of all, great mod. How can I download this? The link isnt letting me get through to download. Is there another website I need to register with to have access to this mod? And second of all, do you guys know if this mod will work for my version of the game I purchased on Steam? If so, can you guys give me detailed advice on how to install it or direct me somewhere where I can learn how to do so?
hey i love the mod loads, played it for years.. tho i was wondering if it was ever gona stop being a beta and become a full thing because there is still so mucht that can be done to this to make it completely amazing and i'd love to play a full version... i'd even pay price of a full new game for it... please let me know if there is to be a new one, or a full version of this thxs
