found a cool way to use the editor.

it can actually bring you back from the dead or if you delete your save game.

if your save is open in the editor and you hit save it will bring it back

BUT...

it will reset all the cells, all the containers and re-roll bunkers.
another thing it does is keep the journal intact so when you come to places you've already been in it will discover them again and add to the count of places discovered.

Note : i am not 100% sure but i think it also deletes any saved games started after you opened the editor.

It won't delete any saves, it will overwrite save with the older version you had when opening the save unless you hit refresh after saving in-game.

It won't open at all
I'm running it in Win10

Ok, maybe try running it with admin rights. If that doesn't work you can try downloading .NET framework from here: Microsoft.com It should already be installed though, as you have win10. Also make sure that you haven't deleted anything (the lib folder for example). If you still can't get it running let me know.

wow...fast respond, thank you.

Yes, I've try to open it with admin rights and yes, I installed .NET Framework.
Still won't open

Is this has something to do with windows defender? Because it's still active in my device

Shouldn't make any difference as it should still say something, but you can try if you want. I sent you pm.

Some of the item names were changed in the last patch, so the items probably are still there but with wrong name. I will fix them at some point.

Hi, sorry to let you know but I have automated the process of taking the gear names from the game. There won't be any mismatches in the future versions. I hope you didn't spend too much time on them. But thanks anyway! :)

I'll add x and y coordinates to the next version. I might add the maps at some points, but I'd prefer if I had svg versions of the maps, but I probably won't since toarda didn't reply to me.

you CAN use the fly mode to "teleport"

do the following :
activate fly mode
go to where you want to go
press SPACE
deactivate fly mode.

enjoy.

one should probably note that the fly mode can only be accessed via trainers like the one made by mrantifun.

You have no (like 0, zero) idea, what teleport is.

Can we open the Mac savegame under Windows/Bootcamp? I created a folder under user/appdata/local/Hinterland/TheLongDark/ and added the savefile "user001" - but it won't show up when I run the programm.

Any ideas? Thank you :)

Your editor is pretty neat and i didn't find any bug (apart from the name of some item but it seems it will be corrected in the next update.

Nonetheless, i found out that there skills beyond what's showed in the skill menu and that you didn't covered in your editor, repair skill and sharpening skill. It could be a good addition to your editor in my opinion.

So good work for you editor, it's a really good one and i sincerely thanks you for your contribution !

Thank you! Yes, all item names will be fixed in the next version. And good catch, seems like there's a third skill I missed too, rifle cleaning skill. I will add these to the next version.

I though that one was bound to the firearms skill. Looks like i didn't looked at it well enough.

There is an other little thing i saw, and it's after some time i pointed this "bug" to the editor. When you put an item on the floor, you can after that right click on it to move it around and put it somewhere else (i decorated the Camping office with that, it makes a lovely atmosphere) and it seems like the facing of the item depend on how you face it before moving it (it's position stay the same relative to your point of veiw, that's how you can "rotate" it). Strange thing is, any object added with the editor is not following the same rule as it's always in the default facing (for exemple, the rifle is always pointed towards you) so it makes it difficult to "rotate" the item as you want. It's really a minor "bug" but nonetheless i though it's still worth mentioning.

Thanks again for your work AND you quick reply. Really glad to see you following comments on your work !

Thanks! Expedition Parka is actually there, but it just has the wrong name, it's "Premium Winter Coat" in the editor. All the item names will be correct in the next version.

Hey man. Found a possible bug related to items generated by the editor.

Take 2 knives(or any other item) 1 made by the editor 1 from the actual game.
Drop them on the floor and move them via right click. If you right click again the item generated by the editor will disappear and the "real" item will just go back to where it was.

Also, "fake" items will turn to 1 point regardless of which angle you pick them up from while the "real" items will not.

Confirmed with tools, weapons and clothing.

I'll see if I can reproduce the disappearing, but I believe this is fixed in my current version (not published yet). This was actually reported a couple comment up, but thanks for reporting it anyway :)

So, you're gonna release the latest version of TLD Save Editor when the new update comes out? Also, you should add a "Add all items" feature based on their category, in fact, there's a Infinite Carry that was added.

If the new version doesn't come out when the timer runs out I'll probably release the new version anyway. Yeah I can add "Add all" feature.
