The Last Stand is an addon project for the Sins of a Solar Empire, aiming to provide additional and original content, depth and challenge to the game, including three new races, new gameplay elements and tactical gadgets such as mines, interdiction abilities, deployable starbases, new ship classes and more.

Yep, still Xin. The race is being redesigned for unavoidable technical reasons (their job is to eat your space soldiers, not crash your game), check out the comment thread on the main page for more info.

Not that this isn't cool, but it's too bad you can't use the old stuff. It looks badass.
Screenshots look badass. But then they don't show all the texture stretchings, seams and missing polygons, plus how crap some ships look in, say, red light. :p This is much higher quality work, believe me. And it won't send Sins running for the hills. ;)

These look amazing man but does this mean that you are starting from scratch again? Please dear god don't say we will have to wait another 2 years T-T. Well, even if we do, I am sure that I speak for everyone when I say that we are eagerly awaiting a release and wish you the best of luck

actually...i like these more...they suddenly look like the aliens from the movie Skyline...
Terrible movie. :D Good alien design though. No relation to this however - its just that the tentacled things from outer space, they all look the same. ;)
yes,the storyline of that movie is still trying to rape my brain,which is ironic because the aliens like brains.

Yeah, I thought so as well. And Fredled, no, I didn't know the sequel is in the making. I guess we got to see how that alien knuckle sandwich went down, eh? ;)
