In the final version there will be a black hole in the center... which is both a weapon and what's holding it all together.

Holy Christ. That's bigger than the Citadel from Mass Effect, and I thought that was huge... If I ever see one of these things I'm not even gonna try to attack it.

If we estimate that the typical SoaSE capital ship is about 5 miles long, then that thing is at least 50 miles in diameter! That is quite a bit bigger than even the ME citadel.

consider the citadel, a massive city ship, and think of how big the ships in the shot actually are, it might be smaller than the citadel, just basing them on visuals anyway.

Lokath Jan 10 2010 replied:

It's probably smaller than the Citadel. The Citadel really dwarfed Sovereign, and I don't think the SoaSE Capital ships are any larger than our Reaper friend.

Could be. It's still ridiculously massive.

In that case, it's probably the size of a Star Wars super star destroyer. That still makes it one of the deadliest warships in science fiction :)

Ya, guys the Citadel in Mass Effect is truly MASSIVE. This thing is no where near that size. The Reaper is large too but the Citadel is a MASSIVE city in space. I like the thoughts of comparison but nah, I don't see it coming anywhere near the Citadel. :P Great job though.

Its a massive 5 armed ship, each arm is 3 or 4 times larger then an average capital ship, Held together and powered by an artificial black hole with the power to wipe out everything in the area around it.

Every time I repeat that in my head it just sound even more awesome then the last time.
