The Last Stand is an addon project for the Sins of a Solar Empire, aiming to provide additional and original content, depth and challenge to the game, including three new races, new gameplay elements and tactical gadgets such as mines, interdiction abilities, deployable starbases, new ship classes and more.
The latest iteration of the dynamic combat system which will be employed by Last Stand, this mini-mod standalone enables the feature on vanilla game versions. Entrenchment only.

I downloaded this, installed it... and it doesn't work.
None of the ships move like they do in the videos.
I plopped it into the mod folder and enabled it last on the list... but the ships just act like they used to.
Actually, I just tried it out again, encountered some TEC-based independents guarding an unoccupied planet, and they used the fighter physics correctly.
And if I remember correctly from an earlier game I played, it works for Vasari as well...
The reason I thought it had stopped working was because I had played as the Advent for a change.
Just curious at this point, but... did you program the physics in for the Advent yet?
Love the mod, after playing it, I simply cannot play Sins without it.

Hm, all ships should use new physics, regardless of faction. I'll check it out more once I get a chance, see if I can replicate the issue.
will this mod make changes to how the AI plays as well?
AI, strictly speaking, is hardcoded in Sins. This mod changes the way combat is played out, but it doesn't change the way AI handles things on a grander scale.

got mod working no problem..... but i have a problem...... attack a planet and somehow in the strafing, my ships and the targets ships strafe eachother to the point where they are so far away from the planet, they may as well be MIA. any thots?
Known bug, solved (probably) in the WIP version I have on the main mod. I'll post an update when I patch up all the ships.
It has to do with the way AI flies, which is hardcoded, so I have to work around that.

I dont mean to be a pain in the ***, but i remember you saying something about making a new version for the newest entrenchment patch, do you have an idea of when that might be done, i miss my ships floating around everywhere :)
