Trebuchets also is real, and what? :P Why gondorians use it?
Or why in Middle-Earth warriors have sword\pikes\bowes etc.? It's too real, let's give them their own weapon!

I think that no need to be crazy with lore. Janissaries are suitable to Rhun with style and epoch time - what do you want?
This mod not for guys who want just another cloned mod :P

Yeah they can use trebuchets or bow because its just old weapons. But rhun is a evil faction in middle earth. So give them real historical units very offensive for people.I like your model but ı think you should change unit name.

Strange conclusions :P
Rhun is evil only technically, because they join to Sauron and all. Actually, they are just another men faction.

karasis, it does make sense. If you believe that Tolkien's work is devoid of allegory, you're insane. All fiction is deeply rooted in one's reflection of reality, and there is no doubt at all that despite what he says, Tolkien was a complete crusader sympathiser.

I'm sick of people complaining about the unit choice in this game - Halbarad has made an amazing mod, and in my opinion, his non-lore units are infinitely better than the non-lore characters of Peter Jackson.

Perhaps you need to REALLY look into history before you come to dismiss the idea of Janissaries in Rhun. Tolkien's flaws are so annoyingly ignored by so many fanboys - whether you want to accept it or not, he divided Middle Earth into the sections his small mind perceived to be reflective of the real world. He even called the Haradrim "swarthy men" - perhaps you should do some research and see what Muslim Arabs used to refer to themselves as.

I applaud Halbarad for his choices in this mod - every other mod makes 10000 variations on the same boring Elven archers and "Good" faction men with swords. This mod gives us the fury of the ancient East :D

10/10 on the models, amazing!

Anatolia - "east", my knowledgeable friend :Р
And anyway, Ottoman Empire - Asia, Asia - East.
