The Last Days of the Third Age — a total conversion of Mount and Blade 1.011 and Warband into J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth.
The first (and hopefully not last) episode of the TLD podcast.
We figured an update might be a good thing to do right now.
Rather than posting a wall of text I recorded myself talking about the current state of the patch and the future features of TLD.
I address feedback on bugs and balance issues and answer a few common questions.
There is also a preview of one of the many new music tracks from the TLD soundtrack at the end. (you can guess which settlement this track belongs to!)
All this in roughly 30 minutes. :D
Stupid moddb players dont work for me :(
But cant wait for the patch and new features! :D
The file seems to be in the process of being processed. Just wait a bit. ;)
I meant to up your post but downed it instead :( ...
Dear Moddb, why is the UP on the left and the down on the right? this is backwards thinking in terms of UI design -.-... also... there's no undo...
lol first view and comment xD but ill have to wait to watch the rest when i get home from school because i gots stupid exams :(
oh and players works fine now xP
Interesting podcast, it is a good way to address issues and questions fans have. I am looking forward to the next one, so please do upload another.
Oh! I had an idea, if you are good with video your next podcast could accompany a TLD artwork slideshow, you have great artwork after all.
Useless presents?! I'm getting Mount and Blade for Christmas! :P
Next time, can we get a wall of text? I don't have thirty minutes. I need the higher information-density of text.
I really like podcasts, I listen to them while painting, or when I'm just browsing, or doing research. I suppose just sitting down and listening for 30 minutes is a waste of time, but I'd listen to it while doing something else.
TL;DR:
Patch is coming, not idea when. New music, we are aware of bugs and imbalance issues.
Thanks for this podcast! And the voice was totally okay. Can't wait for the new patch.
I can't identify for which settlement this music is...maybe something elvish?
nope, try again. But ill give a big clue. Its called 'the river song'
cool, keep up the good work
Thanks for giving us an insight. I know during development you had to keep things quiet so as to keep your ideas from being stolen by other LOTR mods so it is cool now it is released you are giving us some more insight. Thankyou.
We weren't really secretive so that nobody would steal ideas from us. We just didn't want to rob people of the surprise and enjoyment of discovery.
Making podcasts is fun. ;)
Great Podcast.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
