And for the very end, it's worth repeating again TLD is primarily based on Tolkien's books, not on Peter Jackson's movies. So no need to ask about plate armour, uruk-hai crossbows, odd elven blades and other movie inventions.

We will be deleting/ignoring comments/questions that are flaming, rude or about LOTR movies stuff, Warband, bugreports and tech support. These have all been addressed in the manual and forums a million times before.

I couldn't join the forums, they've disabled registration, so I'll continue posting here.

Here are some bugs I came across on all my play-throughs:

1. When I start a new game, load a save, and sometimes after a battle, the map is shown upside-down. Mordor is on the west instead of the east.

2. When you start a new game, there aren't any volunteers to recruit yet, so you have to wait awhile or walk around until the game adds them.

3. When I assist my good ally in assaulting enemy camps, on the option screen to "assault with your men" or "let your men go without you" screen, the left half of the background is the main menu's screen and the right side shows the actual screen that I think should belong.

4. In Helm's Deep, I'm sure you know this. I have to run my arse to the gate right at the start of every battle to make sure the enemies attack the gate down. If I go too late, the allied mob on my side won't let me through to get close enough to the gate so that the enemies stuck on the other side can attack the gate, as they're trying to attack me if I'm next to the gate. Make it so that the allies can get in closer, even touching the gate, so the enemies will attack them, hitting the gate instead, to bring it down and I can finally roam anywhere else I want without the burden of having to get to the gate first every time.

5. This one is bad. Enemy armies that are besieging your allied cities. When they're ready to assault, if you're waiting within the city, you will only fight one of the armies instead of all 5 of them or however many there were outside of the city. After you beat the first enemy army, the next host to touch the City banner will attack by himself as well, into the meat grinder instead of his buddies joining in. Can you make the other armies join in too?

I had a lot more to list, but I see they've been squashed in the Trello page! Tell Swyter his work shall be remembered for ages!!

1. Not a bug of TLD's, that's how the MnB engine works. Just turn the camera around.
2. Not necessarily a bug.
3. Yep, not sure what's causing that. Harmless anyway.
4. Siege scenes in general could use some tweaking, but we don't have anyone to do it, sadly.
5. Not sure.

I have a question about the Strategy tweaks we can change within the camp menus:
Siege strength requirements: Normal/Defender only/None
Siege str. req. relaxation rate: 50/100(default)/200
Strength regen rate: Normal/Halved/Battles only/None
Factions don't regen below: 500(default)/1000/1500/2000

Could someone explain what each one does for me? I want to make sure I understand what each choice does before I try changing them again.

I take back any problems I had with this mod, I was wrong. TLD mod is amazing and I don't feel like I'm wasting my time anymore. I knew my problem was that I didn't know how to play this damn game!

We've much wiped out the northern tribes, with the Gates of Moria being all that is left before we head down.. I just hope, I HOPE you guys added some Forward camps to the south for my Dwarven King in order for me to refill my army instead of having to go all the way back to the north to do so.

So at this point, I decided to head south early to get a taste of the loot from Isengard's raiding parties, that is until I get a message that Baranor, Captain of Gondor has died in battle!! Damn!! The first Hero to go down! Way to get the war on the South started for us Northern's! I'll visit Baranor's grave after my Faction sets up camp. Pay my respects...

TLDR, to avoid spoilers: change the Faction Strength Siege Requirements to "None" in the Camp options for epic play-throughs. Your AI allies will not wander into the woods to look for cows anymore.

I come from the north baring good news!

I want to share my experience playing for the 3rd time and it has increased my enjoyment to 100% ;)

This time I played as the Dwarves. I love that the enemy call us Half men! What I'll do is focus taking quests from my own faction and ignoring everyone else. this way I have been able to rank up quickly.

My new gripe is that influence is so slow to gain, I tried adding the line of code given by Sirg to multiply influence, but I still only get 1 influence point per quest, once every 10 quests I get 3 which I think that's normal too.

I have a suggestion, as we gain higher rank, slightly lower the costs of influence for items and companions please!!

Now to my favorite part of sharing this message!! I changed the gameplay tweaks so that sieges will occur immediately after the war starts!! I have never seen so must action going on and the choices of who to support and what to defend gives me an adrenaline rush!

Someone explain if this is normal or not. My infantry still stay behind me and never want to charge when I give them the order to do it. Does this have to do with Morale? I was reading into it and I guess it might be. My men never want to charge and only follow behind me the whole time. Ok fine I'll buy that special item that increase morale and see if that helps.

Influence points:

How much more did you add (the code Sirg posted). If you put 2, it will go very fast. If you put 1.x (2.5, 1.3, etc), it will not work.

Troops staying behind you:

That's a problem with the Formations AI right now (bug). It will be fixed with the patch. Go to TLD options and disable Formations AI. That should fix it.

Thanks for your reply Khamukkamu.

I'm playing without Formations AI now and I'm so used to Formations now that I won't go back to native. I think I can live with my men only staying behind me. I also realized that this bug affects my enemies too, because they also won't charge even though they have the numbers. They will only attack when I get near, but I can live with that for now. I need my formations!

About the influence points, I did what you said, but nothing seems to work. That line of code might only be for an older version of the mod, unfortunately, we'll have to grind a little extra.

Thanks Khamukkamu

You can also use formations, but then press U at the beginning of the battle. That way your troops will break formation and obey commands, but the enemy will continue using formations properly.

This mod is utterly incredible! Everywhere I look I see the four years it took to make this world. From the orcs to the elven armor. The detail is staggering, every scene lovingly crafted, almost every armor textured to perfection. +5 The mod is well balanced and the immersion is total and complete. It immediately reminded me of an Elder-Scrolls Lord of the Rings game. +5 Now sadly there are the bugs. Several quests are broken and some of the enviromental textures (elven bridges and Gondorian stone…

Great graphics side(excepts from some minor issues like terrible Isengard buildings), new shaders (windy flora!) bus scripting siede is comeplatly failed compared to that what dev team promised. Gameplay becomes booring too soon.
