Over 2,000,000 downloads on our various mirrors so far!
TLD is now Open Source! It's not a simple "grab and use for whatever", so read up on what it means exactly: Mbx.streetofeyes.com

Our main forum is on MBX: Mbx.streetofeyes.com

And for the very end, it's worth repeating again TLD is primarily based on Tolkien's books, not on Peter Jackson's movies. So no need to ask about plate armour, uruk-hai crossbows, odd elven blades and other movie inventions.
TLD 3.2 is a Mount and Blade v.1.011 mod, because of Warband's modding limitations. Do not ask for Warband port, please. We are not currently planning a Warband port.
We will be deleting/ignoring comments/questions that are flaming, or about LOTR movies stuff, Warband, bugreports and tech support. These have all been addressed in the manual and forums a million times before.

Official full release. This release contains an auto-installer and some bugfixes and tweaks. See description.
This is the module system for TLD 3.22. That means source code and stuff. Goddarnit this summary has to be long.
An official patch. Adds some new features, music and redone armors. Not compatible with previous saves. See changelog for full details.
128 kb/s version soundtrack. Just replacing our music with this might improve performance and reduce crashes.

This mod is utterly incredible! Everywhere I look I see the four years it took to make this world. From the orcs to the elven armor. The detail is staggering, every scene lovingly crafted, almost every armor textured to perfection. +5 The mod is well balanced and the immersion is total and complete. It immediately reminded me of an Elder-Scrolls Lord of the Rings game. +5 Now sadly there are the bugs. Several quests are broken and some of the enviromental textures (elven bridges and Gondorian stone…

Great graphics side(excepts from some minor issues like terrible Isengard buildings), new shaders (windy flora!) bus scripting siede is comeplatly failed compared to that what dev team promised. Gameplay becomes booring too soon.

Someone save this mod pleasee! :(
After over a year of playing I think it's high time to post something. This has to be my favorite mod of all time!
It adds so much and makes you really believe that you are fighting in Middle Earth. The peoples of Middle Earth look great and in many places look a million times better than the movie! Everything flows, the battles are amazing, and the Cities and Castles are all heavily detailed to show even the smallest things such as the signs along the streets of Minas Tirith.
Installing at first was challenge (I read the manual too) but once I got it working I was hooked. I dropped almost all my other games and ONLY played this! I mean, this mod made me buy Mount and Blade! No other mod has done that except for Third Age Total War. That is how brilliant this mod is!
So yeah there's my long thank you to both the players and devs of The Last Days of the Third Age.
First of all, your auto installer made it the easiest mod download EVER.Second of all,TLD runs better then the native.Third of all,IT'S JUST TOTALLY AWESOME!Thank you guys for one of the best mods ever!
You are my favourite person of today. Thank you.
This is a great mod! I've played through many mods for both M&B and Warband and though I've just barely delved into this mod I can tell it's very well designed and thought out! I can see much in the mod's future. One thing I'd like to see changed is the camera angle for dwarves and orcs if possible. I can just see the tip of their head when I'm fighting and it's very annoying. I'm no modder, but if this can be fixed I'd much appreciate it! Other than that, wonderful mod! ;)

That can't be fixed, the camera positions are hardcoded.

Its based on the books, if you haven't read them, keep your mouth shut... Uruks are NOT suposed to be taller than the average man (more than 6 feet by tolkien)
