"The Invasion" is a First-Person Shooter that implements several Real-Time Strategy elements. Focusing on constant, open warfare and making teamwork key, this total conversion allows players to use strategy in place of brute force at any given moment - but not every player is as forgiving.

Can I see your low res model? Or was this perhaps created with zspheres?

You have done really well on this, you have clean edges for the armor and nice shapes overall.

Thanks, I didn't use zpheres for this one, I donwloaded a free human model someone posted on the zbrush forums (I'll post a link later) and worked from there.

Yeah, Im so cheap, I know.
But in my defense I had to do a lot of editing.

I wouldn't call that cheap, its a good easy workflow which is part of what these sculpting applications are designed for. Lots of models in the game industry all stem from the same basemesh.

Anyway, keep up to good work :)

Do more research and read between the lines, Heorogar. EA Sports used various public works to create their visuals for players in several late 1990 sport games. You are in school, I am in the business. Do not come here to troll/flame/narcisize - simply reading over the news posts instead of having the objective of directly viewing and battering the images would have given you the information needed to realize that this piece is a work in progress, there are changes to be made. The source of the original model is irrelevent. This is a preview of what we have in mind, and our artist made it a goal to not pass off the ENTIRE work as his own. His use of color and choice of detail is no longer your concern. Your suggestions and comments have now been rendered useless, and now YOU will be blacklisted from our development. They would have been considered otherwise, but your repetetive bantering has now made them obsolete. Everyone else in the community may continue as usual, and nullify this post as seen fit. Have a good day!

I have never heard of EA Sports using public works for their visuals for their sports titles. I do not intend on Trolling I was mainly stating the "tale" from an artistic point of view was not as interesting as the original concept. Also the red Matcap is not very appealing to show off the subtle details in the sculpt. You are right its not my decision. Sorry if i came off as an *** but I'm just being honest. I also recall pointing your artist in a good direction with the Gnomon tutorials to help with their Zbrush skills. I also worked in the industry and not a single artist I worked with use a basemesh found online for the production. Again apologies for coming off as a **** it certainly wasn't my intention.

OK, I'm finishing the Anthropoid model (we still have to pick a real name for this class) and I wanted to share some screenshots of my work in ZBrush.

Yes, I love the default red clay material, it's great for modeling and finding imperfections.

Also, I made a wallpaper out it using Photoshop, hope you like it.

Next week I'll be posting some images of the default human model (Im going to make several versions of each with small variations like different helmets and things like that) then it's off to skinning and porting it into the game! Scary stuff!!
