The Hundred Years' War was fought between mainly France and England during the late Middle Ages from 1337 to 1453. It was a war that defined an entire period in Western History and lay the foundations for modern Western European society and culture. It was an era full of distaster, disease, and great political conflicts and social upheaval, but also with building new, religious miracle and chivalry unparrallelled. It was an exciting, tragic, yet hopeful era that this Civilization 5 mod depicts.
This is one of the most hard-fought battles I've been in in this mod. As we all know, the AI still sux in Civ5, but this time he got me good. I am marching towards Paris playing England and have the French capital well within grasp, when all of a sudden the AI starts throwing major armies at me. He surrounds me, defeats my units one after the other and after heavy fighting, he kills my Great General, totally annihilating my army! Excellent stuff!
