Who could portray a better Gandalf than Sir Ian McKellen? No one. Even in video game form. Great likeness, guys.
I believe that every single actor in TLoTR trilogy was hand picked to fill the role exactly as it should have been.
I simply can't see another gandalf or aragorn.
In the future (I believe everyone here will be very old) when they decide to make a reboot of the movies, it will turn out SO different and I don't know if i would call better, because these actors... holy ****, they where the best of the best.
PS: We have almost seen a Sean Connery Gandalf and a Nicholas Cage Aragorn.

It would be like year 2090 - 2100.
