Gondor rave party featuring Gandalf...
The most expensive regular hero in age of the ring!
btw: how much does suruman cost? Considering gandalf is 6k and radagast is 4k.
Gandalf will probably be lowered a bit tbh.
Saruman got bumped up to 4k since he starts at rank 5 now.
Umm... it's Mikasa, from attack on titan, your new picture now, Rider?
Ye
Second season for us then, my friend!
I'm trying not to watch all the episodes in one go, i hate only one episode for week.
Same here, I'm just waiting for the big fight, I'm up to date with the manga so I can wait till lol.
Oh yeah man, Chapter 50 animated is going to be a blast.
Damn! Faramir looks awesome ^^
definitively yes, eventhough i think the heavy armor out of the SEE films like the one he was wearing in Osgiliath when fighting together there with Boromir, would be much more fitting with those spearman in the background ;)
I hope he won't be as underpowered as in many mods before...btw if im not wrong on revora isn't any abilityplan posted yet.
btw what about the ring-hero plan, i haven't read anything about it, but how gandalf is made in some mods where gaining strenghts and backdraws by denying or taking the ring is something i'd like to see in AotR too ;)
Updated the Gondor faction plan to include Gandalf's powers and the Ring hero for the majority of the good factions
Rank 3: Rejuvenation
Nearby heroes are healed and temporarily gain +50% attack.
i think this power can be seen in your bfme1 release of saf...i can't really like it, the bolts out of glamdring are better fitting in my eyes. the rejuvenation is somehow powerless and has a much to high cd. Maybe this power should be connected to something similar like the elendilpower, where he becomes enlighted like when the three hunters meet him at fangorn in the film and the own heros regain strenght and enemys flee in terror. that would be eventhough a nice contrast to the enflaming of the balrog ;) and it would add sense to Naya ;)
I draw the idea for the Rejuvenation from the scene where Gandalf restores King Theoden, plus I think Gandalf could use a support power instead of being almost completely offensive.
yes i can understand you, but it should become more suitable ;) ... as i posted above, enlightning him like he was in mirkwood while rejuvenating the others(and even when im not wrong he showed his light to saruman/weak theoden when freeing/healing him).
this wouldn't be completely offensive and on the other hand not a 1:1 copy of althelas ;)
Frodo will be the ringhero for the good factions (except Erebor, they get Bilbo). Sauron will be the ringhero for the evil factions (except Misty Mountains, they get Smaug)
matching to the lore i can understand this at least for the good factions, but somehow in my eyes this is kind of a bad deal for them.
it would be better in my eyes when the ringhero would be more faction according, bringing each of the factions a bunch special treats. I'd make this more like The Ring Hero + A faction based Buff/Hero
I'll be going to post my idea at the forums ;)
I agree with you, but it's just also my opinion.
Do you know how this will work? Even with the ring Frodo will be killed by almost any unit with only, what... three attacks?
I don't see him fight like, let's say, Galadriel.
So you have to be big and tough to carry the ring?
Someone call Tolkien!
no it is not that you should be big and tough, but i think the ringhero should have his own unique playstyle and advantages, which differ here to much:
frodo in it's current way: weak, nimble, easy to defeat, comparable meaningless when it comes to battles
sauron: strong, nearby op, can rule the battlefield, is a big buff for it's fraction...and so on
so maybe when i get a chance i'll post my idea today around middays
Frodo in AotR: most powerful leadership in the game (The Fate of Middle-earth) with a huge radius, meaning he doesn't have to be in the center of the action, the ability to go invisible and escape any situation, the ability to scare away enemy units, and the ability to summon Samwise Gamgee, who in turn buffs Frodo and is able to further support your army through his Rabbit Stew ability.
The point we're making with this system is that strength manifests itself in different ways. In AotR, Sauron is hugely powerful, but also a detriment to your own troops, while Frodo is a little hobbit who certainly cannot kill entire armies, but whose 'inner strength' allows your own army to be hugely powerful.
that is also the idea i had ;) but i'd do some smaller things a little bit in a different way ;) ..sry i didn't made it to write down my ideas, work is taking my time...
That... was not my point.
My point is, in game, the good factions wont be a bit under-powered?
Don't get me wrong here, i love the concept for frodo and bilbo since is the most lore friendly in all the mods i ever seen. But for the gameplay, the bad guys will have a tyrannical giant dragon or lord Sauron himself (that can destroy units and structures with easy).
I don't see an army, even buffed, capable of defeating Sauron. Then again, you can't heave two ring heroes at the same time. I will have to wait and see then. :)
People tend to underestimate what you can actually do with an overpowered leadership that affects everything except buildings.
I have seen now the ring hero powers, and that is true.
I thought that he would be similar to the summon from the second tier power from elves.
I was wrong.
The fact that an army can withstand the initial Balrog summon with half health shows how good Frodo Baggins actually is.
You mean... the EXPLOSION after you click to summon him and before he appears?
Ouch.
But rider said something that made me curious, will Sauron have a bad effect on the army?
I tried to search information about him on the site, but found nothing.
