Hornburg for 1.153
Jul 9, 2012 Full Version 0 commentsRENAME folder to Hornburg Basically an updated version of Hornburg for version 1.153 of Warband. Doesn't include anything new as far as I remember. Enjoy...
ONLY MULTIPLAYER, FOR NOW, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SP LOTR MOD IT ISN'T THIS ONE
The mod follows the book as far as it can, and it's a more medieval take on the mod. My aim is to create a good lord of the rings mod that has as few lore inaccuracies as possible and that is fun to play. I started the mod because of the fact that all other lord of the rings mods for warband are dead or hibernating.
The multiplayer part is the first part of the mod under development, it will feature Rohan vs the Hosts of Isengard. The mod focuses on the conflict between the two and features famous battles and a Invasion game mode where you and your team mates hold out against waves of increasingly hard enemies.

The hosts of Isengard consists of hordes of orc and their stronger kin, the Uruk-Hai. The dunlandings have come to answer Sarumans call aswell and fight against their age old enemies in sarumans service.
The forces of Rohan are the defenders of the westfold and the forces of Theoden from Meduseld. After the defeat at the battle of the Isen they have pulled back to the age old fortress of Helm's Deep where they now make their last stand.

Multiplayer Only as a first release features:
Rohan Faction
Isengard Faction
Unique siege maps
Invasion game mode with a full 37 wave invasion
3 Invasion maps (so far)
4 Siege maps
New weapon boxes
Other features

Uploading a version of the mod that works with 1.153.
So this fixes the skeleton.brf error people have been having.
It is already uploaded on Mount&Blade Nexus: Mountandblade.nexusmods.com
The patch is included in the mod.
It might still be that I shall continue the work on the mod, I've no idea if Belendor ever started on v.0.2, but he hasn't released anything.

Fixes alot of stuff, hopefully. Adds a few stuff. Full changelog in the Readme, also, thank you for downloading.
Release of The Hornburg. Still a work in progress so there will most likely be bugs. There is no campaign available, and the custom battle troops aren't...
Highest Rated (2 agree) 10/10
FYI TO ALL MORONS WHO RATED IT A ONE! THIS IS A MULTIPLAYER MOD

Thanks Kazzan, but I was wondering why do you try and stay away from the film uruk-hai? The mod is meant to plaease the masses, which I reckon having film uruk-hai would. This would also stay close to lore, as the film uruks arn't exactly different from he ones described in the book. I hope you take my opinion into account, and feel free to correct me if i'm wrong about anything. (Such as the masses prefering film uruk-hai or the film ones being completelly different to the ones in the book).
PS. I've just re-read my previous post and it can be read as if i'm supporting the use of non-film uruk-hai, which i'm not; I would prefer them to look identical to the film ones.
Thanks, deathteam15.
But my mod was never about pleasing the masses. Also, the film uruk-hai are different, for one, there was never any mention of plate armor, which every single uruk wore in the films. Also, the totaly identical armor of the uruks, seriously, orcs and uruks were totally not wearing the same armor, there was differentiation. The films never showed that the dunlanders and orcs were fighting at Hornburg either, actually, the orcs were far more than the Uruk Hai were.
Also, the weaponry the Uruk Hai used, they never used Crossbows for one, only bows. Another thing was that the swords they used was described as crude swords among other things, likely they used axes and clubs aswell, which in my opinion would make them look like swords, not the cleavers in the movies.
/rant end
In short, never made the mod to please the masses, made the mod because I wanted to. If you want a movie mod, play The Blood in the West.
Ahh fair enough :) Aha that's exactly what i'm going to do ;) (no offence, for it's part this mod looks of very high quality) :)
I forgot to say, it's only Multiplayer, sos. Never really did much work on the Singleplayer side. And to anyone having problems with playing singleplayer, sucks, cause it's not meant to be played, should've just taken away the option...
i also forgot to mention that this is a beta!
Yes it is a beta and a wonderful idea i cant wait till it works!!!
