The Haunted is a fast paced thirdperson horror-action game with focus on a intense multiplayer experience that is all about making a stand and liberating cursed places from the minions of evil. Current Version Used: Version 2

1. Switching to a weapon and trying to fire doesnt work, thus you must switch to a different weapon then try switching back again for it to work.
2. Sometimes the pistol doesnt show in your hands when you equip it, it will start to show once you aim.
3. Occasionaly weapon models get mixed, a shotgun for a sub machinegun, the shotgun model with the sub machine gun mechanics.
4. enemys can spawn so close to the haunted, making a player demon controller able to kill the haunted in 30 seconds or less.

Did these things all happen in an online game? And do you remember when these things happend ? Like wrong weapon model when picking up a upgrade box.

couple of things i remember -

grenade launcher on canyon not reachable since you cant blow up the wall

movement lag with 40 ping on my own server (not a performance issue, hardware is good enough)

possible to get up to four ammo crates if you dont pick up the first one and do lots of knife headshots (really easy)

vendigo kamikaze is waaaaaay to effective

lack of health regeneration in coop is fairly stupid, especially when you run around on 5 hp for 5 minutes (remember that the view filter is active)

a single high ping player fags up the game for all (no idea how to code around that, but killing floor did not have this issue)

very very weird ammo replenishment system, it feels like you get punished for not wasting all of your ammo

weird ping - out of 70kb of my upload 35 are constantly used, with very rare spikes, and still most euro players get a 110 ping (i was hosting a 10 player kf server before and euro ping was at stable 80 for everyone)

ps: awesome game, kept me playing for 15hours right after the release.

5. Roll + switch to pistol while rolling sumtimes makes the pistols model not view until you aim.
6. Spawned switched to shotgun, the shotgun model had hte pistol mechanics.
7. Rolling and jumping animations sometimes dont play properly.
8. Bats get spammed and can kill you if you dont know how to deal with em
9.VS mode is to unbalanced.
10. Ammo system is a lil weird

Regarding the issues:

You have to kick the minecart to get the grenadelauncher. We will be adding an icon for that.

Did the movement always lag, or just when you were aiming?

With wendigo kamikaze, do you mean manalishi(with green spikes) ?

Regarding the ping and weird upload rates. What are the stats for a normal ut3 server ? Killing floor and haunted cannot be compared, since the engines are different. But i want haunted to run as fast as a normal ut3 game.

Hey there hegi, yeah switching with numbers sumtimes displayts wrong model aswell, i know all secret weapon locations aswell, apart from, the Nitrogen launcher and hte flame thrower in Canyon

yes, manalishi, sorry my bad. you can spawn em without cooldown which is extremely lame. i suggest a 15 sec cooldown, starting with critter spawn, for the kamikaze thingey.

the movement always lagged but idk what the cause was, maybe it was due to taskswitch.

tbh i dont understand why the comparison between ut3 and 2k4 is inappropriate, since the data to be transmitted didnt change one bit, so why would epicfags reinvent the wheel?
any suggestions as to netrate and mayhaps other network relevant settings?

btw, any chance there is an autokick on high ping feauture hidden somewhere in ut?

damn i forgot to mention the worst sploit: guess what happens if you die in coop, go spec and join again...

I cant wait for killing floor on steam to come out, its gunna be awesome jajaja :3

I belive a nice update would be for ammo to drop ALL THE TIME. but like this heres an expample

AmmoDropChance=2.5
2.5 chance in 100 for ammo to drop when killing a monster

AmmoDropChance=50.0
50% chance in 100

so on so forth default should be 2.5 or sumtin

Well, I guess this is the best place to report bugs. I get this weird issue whenever I play: the middle-upper-right of my screen (roughly in the shape of a triangle) gets all fuzzy and pixilated whenever I play. Normally this is only enough to be an annoyance, but after I finish a map and go on to another one it intensifies dramatically. I have to exit the game and start it back up to reset it to the "annoyance" level. Other than that the game runs fine...I'm using a nvidia geforce 7600gt and I recently updated my drivers. Any workarounds/suggestions?

Can you post a screenshot ? Does this happen in ut3 also ?

11. If your friend or anyone your spectating gets hit by a kamikaze zombie and then you get respawned the screen effect overlay is still there when you respawn

12. You can use 1-0 on the keyboard to summon demons, but once you have fewer selections, the selection becomes 1-however many demons are not grayed out.

14. Sometimes you will get stunned by a Bruiser, but the keyboard animation/icon won't show up and you won't be stunned. You will be able to move around, but you won't be able to melee or zoom in/shoot or jump.

nope, also had it, and the stun animation also plays during it btw. mayhaps its a latency issue.

patch 2.01 bugs
1.when you have a charged melee and get stunned the keyboard animation won't show up
2.if you get stunned when you start charging the melee the keyboard animation will appear for a second and then will be replaced by the fist animation
3.the ball can still hurt/kill you while in god mod

*in solo mode (i havent tried multi so i dunno if it affects it too) the weapon upgrade bar increases by time count and by kills / points.
when starting a match, in the first round the bar increases only by kill / points and not by time count.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I'm unable to join any servers in Haunted but I can see them and the number of players in it. I have 2.01 and UT3 patch 5. I can run the game just fine in singleplayer. Anyone know what the issue is?
