Im going to start with t uca united capitalist alliance here is the flag for them its just the sketch is will be later on as i go. UCA is the hardest one to play as in the game tech will be harder to get and money recommended for very good players.i made this flag with paint to let you know i dident take it from any web site or the web. the soviet flag will take a long time im going to work hard on that one as much as i can.the problem with this mod is that its going to get transferred to soon to the rebellion expansion soon and some of my models i have been working on will be gone witch is sad but will not be in vain. the UCA will have less ships but stronger ones than the soviet empire or the Nazi empire.this mod is going to be veryfun
Please, for the love of God, learn some basic 4th grade grammar skills!
Also, you are using the same factions as DoV...
OK this going to be for the rebellion expansion that's coming out. I put it up early so i can take time to get some people to help work on this mod.
OK people, Dawn of Victory is a similar idea but it is based on a collapsing detente after an alien invasion. This is clearly based on a stalemate that lasts long enough for the constituents to colonize other planets. There is a strong difference. I would only suggest that he makes this for rebellion instead. The people on this website are very quick to call on people for copyright infringement. I have studied copyright law enough to know that mods would barely fall under fair use terms sometimes. Some people have similar ideas but want them realized other ways. e.g. what should normally be submods. Other people just don't notice that another mod is the same thing and they should probably join that team. A couple of the steam workshop mods have people calling copyright infringement and rating mods zero because they don't realize that the modder's steam profile name is different then his other profile names. Remember they could be innocent until proven guilty.
i dont think we feel threatened by a 16 year old posting a mod project that hell never even start
"Other people just don't notice that another mod is the same thing and they should probably join that team."
I don't think I've ever seen two mods that are exactly the same. They may be based off the same idea but even then there are often different visions, which is why you can get, for example, many different star wars mods.
I don't think they are necessarily the same, but some people would be willing to sacrifice control for help in realizing a common goal.
Look on the bright side, maybe a copycat stealing the spotlight will get SwissKnight to pick up the pace.
not bloody likely.
I would say seeing rapid progress for any reason on your mod, which is epic btw, is about as likely as Stalin and Lenin and Marx coming back to life, meeting each other in a coffee shop in Namibia, and getting along.
Honestly, WWI/WWII in space was never an 'innovative idea' when Dawn of Victory went public. Don't get me wrong, they're doing it very professionally. But just because another mod is inspired by the same base material, it doesn't necessarily mean they'll be anything alike.
@slack179 - If you are going to make a profile for a mod on ModDB, you do have to realize that's intended for public viewing (Unless there's a private option? Don't know). If you're looking for something more private, you should look at something like a Facebook/Google Plus group, or making a free private forum site.
If you keep the profile, you should definitely tidy it up and be more professional about it, in terms of the description and images you use (Make sure you have permission when using images!).
