Hey Guys, Another month another update, again this update I am releasing 16 more screenshots of the area51 s4 complex I have been working on lately. These maps have been a hard slog if I am being perfectly honest after mapping base's and corridors for 5 years the ideas start to run a wee bit dry in the end.
Also because of Sources 'insane' entity limit on its maps, what I originally planned to be 3 maps for the S4 complex turned into 9 maps as I was forced to stretch the planned maps over 9 maps due to the entity limit on the engine or due to my heavy use of decals and overlays lol. All three to blame I guess.
The released screenshots show a base in panic as the government's 'experiment' breaks free from its capture to cause havoc in the base.
What I really enjoyed creating was the missile bay for the 'Titan 2' intercontinental ballistic missile which our modeler created to real life scale. One of the shots shows the row of these titans and these things truly are massive.
On the plus side I have now over 27 maps all linked and ready for the installation of the script & then beta testing.
Hope you all have a great new year and I hope it brings you happiness.
Happy New year from all at The Gate II Team.
More shots & news to come soon

sorry if it looks like i spammed the images with criticisms...you really have an awesome mod. i just want you to go the extra mile on those little details.
hey zonbie..
no problem, hey constructive criticism is always welcome ! I think tbh there isn't enough of that in mod db all too often you get idiots complaining without really knowing what they are complaining about or without having a simple understanding on how hard it is to actually create a believable living world using hammer.. in the chat world they call these people 'trolls' not sure if the gaming world has a name for them..
thanks for your points there all noted :) please note though all these shots are still pretty early and are released 'just after' i finished 95% of the map so errors of course are still there.. All the errors i hope will be ironed out in beta testing..
