If you would like further detail on the matter, you can do the following:
Although we may have stopped developing The Forgotten, we have not left the modding community and we most definitely have not stopped modding. In fact, right this very moment we are working on a new Half Life 2 project, which will be announced to the public in the near future.

Hey folks,
we at Blackout Studios wanted to let you guys know what has been going on behind our locked doors. We're still working on various design documents, re-fining some of our earlier work, rewriting stories, rewriting characters, rewriting features, doing tests on new features, etc. One feature we're specifically excited about is the dynamic day/night transitional feature for the Source engine. Yes, you read right.
We're currently hard at work programming and testing the feature so it will work the way we have always intended it to work. So far things are looking quite promising and we are hoping to release a video showcasing the feature in action after the next few tests. Fingers crossed it'll be sooner than expected.
On other news, we thought we should show you a little bit of a
concept we had created for one of our projects, we're not telling you which one though ;). In any case, this little fella to our right is called the Ravager. It was lovingly created by OldYogurt. However, love or kindness is that last thing that would cross this beast's mind. Driven by nothing but the instict to hunt and kill, Ravagers have become somewhat of a myth as those that are unlucky enough to meet one of them, don't tend to live to tell the tale. This short excerpt from the respective project should give you an idea of the Ravager's feared capabilities.
We hope you enjoyed this small insight into what's been going on behind the scenes at Blackout Studios . If you want to know more, and stay updated, why don't you Track This Group?
Until next time,
The Blackout Studios Team

I dont think this does av multiplayas correc me if mi wrong.
Er, is your website down, or is it just linked incorrectly? It's currently redirecting me to a hosting website.
We are currently working on a new website, all the reasons and details behind that will be revealed in the next news-release installment :)
so durining the day you can explore? and get suplies o can u drive veichles?? srry im exitcied
during the day you will be able to explore, drive vehicles and unfold more of the story. However you will also be facing some..well, I guess "special" enemies. They won't only be mutations though, but I won't say any more on them, otherwise we might spoil things for you guys :P.
Asbestos? Seriously? Did someone attack Wilcester with a giant block of roof insulation? :P
Certainly better than a story that says "a mysterious infection broke out and the world was contaminated" personally, I was impressed by reading the story, I wasn't expecting anything original, but this is good and it still maintains a do-able scenario of being in an enclosed (quarintined) city.
hehe nice thought, but it'll all become clear through out the episodes :D
Whoa this looks like an old mod, are you guys tuely committed and are going to release this mod? i was very dissappointed with the last several cool sounding mods that crashed.
Hey, first of all thanks for showing your interest - thats priceless to us developers! The more fans and watchers we can get, the more motivated the team will be to work hard and efficiently for the community! And to answer your question, yes, we are dedicated and committed to the mod. Although we may not be able to say what will happen in the future, we definitely are aiming to release this game. It might take longer than we want, but we will definitely release this game. :)
