Report article RSS Feed Cleaning the Weapons of Blitz

Everyone knows the only way to keep your weapons reliable and smoothly lobbing lead at the enemy, is to clean, clean, clean, and don't for get to clean. So today we're having the marines clean out the weapons of Blitzkrieg 2. Thats right commander, Our topic is cleaning up this heap of data. With only one goal in mind, KEEP IT RUNNING SMOOTHLY.

Along with trying new feature constantly, our beta team is keeping busy looking for ways to smooth the gameplay, as well as take strain of this old engine. So we've been cleaning, well, really Korona gets most of the credit here, going through and giving the models a second look and dusty off unneeded polys. Not to mention making textures uniform and compact. 'Well, how's it going?' you ask? we'll I'll tell you, we've cleaned out this old clunker and got it purring like new.

Not to mention several major changes well be putting to the test here shortly. I wont reveal too much, but I will tell you air combat is receiving a major overhaul. It doesn't stop there I assure you, you won't be disappointed in the changes from 3.01. You'll soon find yourself enjoying the smoothest, most intense battles you've ever come to find in a ZH mod.

Prepare yourselves commanders, for glory is on the horizon.

So a cleaning work, hmm? I dont knwo if you noticed it but one of the first StuG's has a visible bone for firing effect :)

Also, i hope that there will be included some... never /or not-much-seen vehicles, as Soviet IS-4 ( Csarmy.eu ) and IS-7 ( Statcdn.worldoftanks.com ), Object 704 aka ISU-152 Model 1945 ( En.wikipedia.org ) and S-51 ( Statcdn.worldoftanks.com ), German E-series vehicles, VK1701 Leopard ( Blog.worldoftanks.com ), whose turret was later used on Sd.Kfz. 234/2 Puma ( En.wikipedia.org ) and Jagdpanzer IV ( Statcdn.worldoftanks.com )

And for America T29 ( Upload.wikimedia.org ) and T30 ( Statcdn.worldoftanks.com g) heavy tanks, maybe M6 heavy tank ( En.wikipedia.org ) as an equivalent of Soviet KV-1, and maybe its stronger variant M6A2E1 ( Upload.wikimedia.org ), which was never constructed, and as artillery M40 (I dont remember if you already has it in, Upload.wikimedia.org)

Thats quite a lot what I said... bt would be great to see them ;) And another thing, as American top vehicle you have a T28/T95 (dont remember which one actually), but it is named there as A39 Tortoise. These are totally different vehicles, T28/T95 of USA and Tortoise of England.

First the IS-4 and IS-7 aren't WWII tanks the IS-4 wasn't put into production until 1948, and the IS-7 wasn't even finished designed until 1948. The T29 and T30 were also not ready for the war. The T28 was in evaluations until 1947 then it was scraped.

I won't go into any other right now...

Not that I have anything against them being put in but they don't quite fit the timeline for WWII... =/

IS-4 was developed as competitor with IS-3, if you dont know :) About IS-7, I admit it. Overall, despite they were build after the war, they are recognized as WW2 vehicles. :) And they fit :)

You mean Axis as Germans and Italians, being separate playable factions?
