Here comes the latest update from the depths of the Secret Volcano Base!

As of now, about 90% of the new graphics for R2.5 are completed, and probably 75% of the coding as well. Things are looking very very good. TopKnot has been making mountains of model corrections and cleanups, making the game much more efficient in terms of graphics. The AI will still cause problems in Skirmish though, because we still lack an AI coder.

Not too much else to report, hope you all had a happy Easter weekend, and hope you enjoy the double dose of eye candy today!

First up is the Russian light war factory. This is the structure where light and medium vehicles are assembled and deployed on the front lines. The model is by Mongoose, the skin and animations by TopKnot, and the flash show-off by Stino. It won't feature in 2.5, but will be available in R3. Russian Light Factory SWF Render Viewer

Second is the new German BMW motorcycle. The old model had the passengers firing their weapons from the model's default origin (center bottom), causing panzerschreck infantry to blow up their own rides. TopKnot was going to fix it, but decided to start from scratch instead. Every aspect of the unit from model to texture to animation to code has all been done by him.
