The Eridanus Insurrection is an Arma 3 Halo-based mod focused on the civil war between the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) and the Insurrectionists, various groups of rebel factions amongst the outer human colonies. This mod will include multiple factions, a wide variety of weapons and vehicles, and a custom made terrain (map) for you to play with. Now strap in and prepare to drop into Altis.

To be honest, even though any thought of it by you mod developers would probably be considered heresy, I like that you stuck with Bungie's art style over 343's. Halo 4 just seemed to go too "arty" futuristic with the armours and weapons rather than 1,2, 3, ODST, and Reach, who all took a realistic approach it it.
Maybe not "realistic", but all the human gear definitely looked *functional*. And I'll take function over flash any day.
It is called "over-designing" and I hate it.
An asset shouldn't be anymore more complicated than it needs to be. 343 has yet to learn about this though. Bungie under-designed a few things but their designs are still really great. Just a few simple edits to make them more useful for us.

I think one of the main things with Human weapons were always supposed to be function over flash. I think it was Halsey who said that human weapons were more functional as far as killing goes than most covenant weapons. As most covenant weapons like the needler were meant to induce more fear than their actual killing potential.

Love it, would be a lot easier to pick out the detail if it weren't black on black, but it still looks stunning!
The main reason is looks like its the battle rifle from halo 2-3 is because this is way before the Humans met the covenant, so at that time through 2-3 they were still using old equipment that desperately needed updated, hence halo 4 with all the update weapons, its the new era for the UNSC, re colonizing, exploring, getting more and more into forerunner technology.
None of this makes any sense...
Will the ammo counter be built in with Iron Sights on top, or will be removable like the MA5? I'm guessing it is the former.
If you look closely, you can see iron sights under the scope that will be used when the scope is off. We will have better pictures soon enough
