well guys, i always wonder why you don't read the image description. apart from that amazing fact: t72? do we speak about the same tank? thisone fits the gla but not a modernized russian army! i mean it's a formidable tank (with a skilled commander) but nowadays the t80 series (including t2000 black eagle) and the t90 series are much more suitable.

It does resemble the T-72 but its ingame meant to represent a T-90. There can't be TOO much detail added to the model to distinguish is, or the game would lag and you wouldn't notice the detail anyway. The T-90 is actually based on the T-72, a modernized version of it as a substitute to the T-80 which was too expensive. So of course there is some resemblence.

Besides the ever overrated "Black Eagle" isn't even in production (as far as it is known), and it's designation is certainly NOT "T-2000", it is "Objekt 640". Also, there is the T-95 (also rumoured to the the so-called "Czyorniy Oryel <Black Ealge>" already ingame. Furthermore, Objekt 640 "Czyorniy Oryel" and the T-95 are new tanks, certainly NOT continuations of the T-80 series.

And even furthermore, the modernized T-72 series is certainly very formidable, the T-90 being just one example, as well as the Polish PT-91 "Twardy" and the Serbian M-84.

The T-95 is the latest Osean MBT design, meant to replace the T-91 in the Osean army's armoured divisions. The design is considered to be a good one by Osean units that have tested it.

It's main gun is a 125mm electro-thermal gun, fitted with an automatic loader to save space. It also has a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun to help deal with infantry and a Kord 12.7 mm heavy machine gun to deal with low flying aircraft and infantry. The 12.7 mm gun has been fitted to an automated mount so it can be fired from inside the aircraft, removing the need to open up the tank to use it. However, it can still be fired manually by the crew if needed. There is also a twin launcher for the 9M123 Khrizantema (also known by the codename AT-15 Springer). This is very useful against other vehicles and can also be used to a limited extent against low flying aircraft.

For protection, the tank uses a combination of armour, active and passive defensive systems. The T-95 has the Shtora-1 and Arena active protection systems to deal with missiles and RPGs. The tank also has the EMT-7 electromagnetic countermine system, for disabling magnetic mines. The turret has separate crew and ammunition compartments with blowout panels on the ammunition compartment, to increase crew survivability. It's armour is made of a composite material and is capable of providing moderate protection against enemy fire. However, it is not as strong as that of other tanks, such as the M1 Abrams.

This is because the T-95 uses explosive reactive armour(ERA) and non explosive reactive armour(NERA), which is considered to be a much cheaper approach to protecting the vehicle, despite it offering excellent protection. The ERA protects against kinetic penetrator rounds, while the NERA protects against tandem charge weapons. Both systems provide protection against shaped charges. As Tandem-charge weapons are more common and can be fired from more platforms than kinetic penetrators, the NERA is layered over the ERA. This is also done because NERA is less hazardous to nearby troops than ERA. Finally, it has full NBC protection and a automatic fire fighting system, to further increase the survivability of both the tank and it's crew.

Description

Comparision of Russian and USA main battle tanks.T-90 and T-95 have lower profile than Abrams which makes them harder to hit and they are a bit faster than Abrams(who has more armour).
It's up to you to choose,anyway,enjoy :)
