The Elven AllianceBattle for Middle-earth mod | Released Jan 13, 2007This mod will add an Elven Faction to your Battle for Middle-Earth game while also making various changes to the other factions. New heroes include Galadriel, Elrond, Haldir, Gamling, and Gothmog; Spearmen of the Havens, Mirkwood Scouts, and Riders of Rivendell are among the new units. A few changes will be made to the campaign for the initial release, with greater plans for later versions. While this mod will not add anything terribly revolutionary in terms of gameplay, it does offer some of the most high-quality skins you'll find in any Battle for Middle-Earth mod. The Elves will also offer new strategies for cavalry, stealth, and sieges.

This update features the many changes made to Rohan since the last release, as well as all the new models and skins for other factions featured in updates. A full list of additions, changes, fixes, and bugs can be found here. A few things of note:
-if you already have the original installed, this will replace the older version -PLEASE read through the installer. It includes Installation Troubleshooting as well as important terms of use information -if you're still having problems after reading everything included in the installer, make a post in the forums, and I'll do my best to help you out

in game are there any models for the units because i cant see them. it might be the computer but i wanted to be sure.

Once again your mod is awesome and i looked at the renders of the units on your homepage. However I recognized that you have no regular elve swordsmen as a unit. It would be nice if there was a basic sword combat unit as well. I am not complaining, however it would be nice if there was another unit to add to the game bringing more variety.
Just a tip if you are working on one, you could take the exact elve unit from BFME and remove the bow and arrow details from their backs as they carry their sword and just rename the unit, and leave the elves exactly as they are with just the sword. That would do.So you would have the same unit in BFME from look and design armed just with the sword.
Otherwise, good job with the mod and it looks really good. Probably the best mod i saw. Can't wait to download it!

This is a really awesome mod and i look forward to downloading and playing it on my pc. However i also have questions. What is the estimated release date of the mod? and, What other new units will be included in the mod?
The images and renders that i see are just amazing and have strong impact. This really causes you to look forward and downloading the mod.

So long as the people you're playing with online also have the mod installed, you can play online. Playing with the Elves will drastically change the way you play the game. The first stage of the battle will probably be a mad scramble of hit-and-run with Scouts. Later in the game, you'll have to make sure you have some powerful heroes to be used in sieges. The Elves attack and defend differently from the other factions, so it may take a bit of time to get used to that. Watch out for the Army of the Dead and the Balrog, as they can cripple an army that will take a long time to reform.
i really really like the idea, and will download it once the full version comes out, but i have questions. How does it affect gameplay? Do I need to change the way i play the game if i download it, and will i be able to play with the faction online?
