Alright everyone; as I previously/recently informed you, the amazing community of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, I'll be absent from the web for the coming months — until August exactly. The reasons for this absence are given through this new article and much more.

Everything is in the title in fact, but yeah — no news, no images and no videos from me until next August and nothing about The Dark Army: Uprising mod until this date. The reasons are explained below.

Final Development Stages

I'm not joking, it's true: the development of the modification will reach its end soon (in Summer). The fact is that the development has recently been intensified thanks to more free time and more acquired knowledge — all of this permitted me to highly improve the modification and its different features. I couldn't have imagined to go so far so early as I'm finally beating the development schedule of the project.

Very Tight Schedule

Right now, I'm beating the project's development schedule I re-fixed at the beginning of this year; but know that's just because I luckily had more free time recently — in fact, it's always hard to stay up-to-date with the schedule in question, as it is very tight. Whatever, for the moment, I'm on a good road to keep promises.

Important Tasks Left

This is really important to let every of you informed about what's coming after the development's end. It's not because it will reach an end this Summer that it's all over — this modification will be bringing about fifty cinematic scenes (cutscenes) and all of these will need voice acting after the end of the project's development. Also, the main character will have a radio and will be contacted in-game (in real-time) or sometimes in cutscenes. Liked that spoiler? Well, it's just one of the crazy things about this new Wolfenstein adventure. After the voice acting recording stages in Summer, there will be plenty of extra-stuff to develop (for/about the modification itself) — secret for the moment. I can't say much more about the other important tasks left to do, but there is still work, but as I said recently, the hardest work is behind me right now.

Mac / Linux Platforms

I don't talk much about these platforms on wish the mod will be appearing, and some people are asking-me sometimes about that: how is it going with these versions? I want to reassure the fans saying that it's working well right now. Can't say more however, but it's fine.

Modification's Private Tester

It has come to me that some people were wondering about the testing phases of this modification. It's a really important phase in the development of this project, and these testing phases will occur on Summer too — across development, I often test my mod, but this upcoming step of testing is really important to evaluate the final product, to rate-it and more importantly to hunt the potential persistent bugs in the need to be fixed. Earlier, the French private tester of my project, called Rocket_Warrior85, came out of the shadow and subscribed to Mod DB, and is now part of TITEUF-85 Prøductions' official members. But the best is to come: he will publish a lot about his testing phases (like images/videos) here on the official page of this mod just to tease everyone when I'll be totally busy and unable to share much by myself. I thank him for his intentions of promoting while testing as I'll be focus on development and not on promotion.


In short, you'll have to wait August for very important revelations. This Summer (starting June 21; probably the development's end date), especially during June, voice acting recording stages will be in the process — until July when test phases will finally arrive. So you'll be luckily having videos/images and other media offered by Rocket_Warrior85 (my private tester) in order to wait for August's important revelations; also a good way for him to tease about what will be revealed too.

Partial and approximate release date will be revealed on June 21st, in less than three weeks. So please, stop speculating, because you don't have any evidence that this mod will arrive at the period that you reference in your message. I don't have anything against that kind of comments, but try to patient a little more before telling a release date in the comments, okay? That's all I ask. Thank-you for supporting my mod mate.

Haven't played The New Order yet (so no spoilers!), so I don't know if this question is actually covered in it so here goes:

Will this mod perhaps bridge the gap between RTCW and The New Order? Will it possibly give the reasons as to why Deathshead stopped working with the Occult and focused more on robotics and cybernetics?

Once again, sorry if this gets covered in TNO, but it is something that really interest me. Cheers!

Hi. Yes, you'll know why Deathshead has stopped his Occult activities in The Dark Army. I won't spoil, but The Dark Army will talk about the final occult activity from Deathshead, in order to improve his bio-mechanic experiments - the occult discovery of Deathshead in The Dark Army mod will help Deathshead to create a new army of mechanic soldiers. After that, he will be totally focused on his robotic researches. So yes, it will bridge the gap between RtCW/Wolf2009 and The New Order in term of Occultism.

For some reason I completely forgot about Wolf2009, which is bad because I was playing it the other night!

This is such great quality (video preview) that you could almost say it's another addition to the "Wolfenstein" series. Speaking of the series the latest "Wolfenstein The New Order" was released just days ago (although based in the 60's errr it seems weird).

I look very forward to completion and it is great to see interest in an old game over a decade old.

When you release the mod you should set up a donation towards the project and your efforts, perhaps?

Donations towards the project and my efforts for it? I don't know what to say for the moment, as this mod isn't released yet. But I don't think I'll propose a donation system towards the mod.
