Recently, I received some messages asking-me if I was still working on The Dark Army mod. First of all, my answer is YES! Secondly, I want to clarify a lot of things regarding the mod's development — it is important for you to stay informed of the situation.

The Dark Army will be back soon!

⟨ I just CAN'T give it up, it's impossible. ⟩

  • The Dark Army is actually a massive amount of work; as you will soon know in the demo, it represents a big project for me, and it has a special place for me in my life, that's why I won't give up the project, I'll take my time, but I will complete my work, for the love of Return to Castle Wolfenstein™ - at the point I'm now, I just CAN'T give it up, it's impossible. So, for everyone asking about me and my project, I'm fine and the project itself is fine, and has grown since the last.

⟨ The Dark Army has become a really big project. ⟩

  • The mod is far away from what I shown in the past - actually, it is not ready to be shown, you'll have to wait November I'm afraid. The Dark Army has become a really big project, taking 2GB space with about 60-70% of the work done, but all resources I made, downloaded and archived are eating about 19GB. However, don't worry, the project itself (the mod's folder) is 2GB.

⟨ Every cinematic scenes of The Dark Army will be retrieved from the demo. ⟩

  • I'm also afraid that the cinematic scenes (cutscenes) won't be finished when the demo will be out in November... That's why every cinematic scenes of The Dark Army will be retrieved from the demo (and it will be a way to not be spoiled in the demo about the story).

⟨ I'm working really hard on this important project. ⟩

  • I will try to show a little of the project soon, but it won't be before November. During this time, know that I'm not dead, I'm working really hard on this important project. I'm so sorry that I can't show anything, but I have a little gift for the fans: a WALLPAPER! A wallpaper without anything written on it, a little piece of art in The Sewers map, in 1080p HD (1920x1080). You can download-it in the Downloads section of this Mod DB page.

✔ Thanks to the Return to Castle Wolfenstein™ community for supporting me!

Well that’s good news. And the archive with recourses has 19GB?

And can you tell me how you do those lens flares because they look really amazing.

Thanks. You ask-me about the lens flares effects? It's true that I never talked about it in the past.

First, I take a lens effect picture on the net, that I modify then with PhotoShop. Secondly, I change the picture format with Gimp 2, adding transparency effect, in order to render it compatible with the RtCW base game, even with a High-Def. format. At least, I configure everything relative to the light effect itself on Gtk Radiant.

I agree with you, lens flare effects are amazing, but it's better in-game, because when you move it moves, becomes darker/lighter (depending of your position) and the size changes (as well depending of the distance).

Thank-you for saying mine are looking amazing mate, thank-you for commenting and supporting!

First time when I see them in trailer and they look amazing. And I’m really surprised that old game like Wolfenstein can have lens flares.

When I first time played Wolfenstein I have been surprised that it have sprint which have been something amazing back in those times.

And thank you for explanation.

No problem - my job is to answer every question about the mod itself, so do I. Thank-you for commenting once again.
