Oh my god, do want. Is this are going to be action filled, or more of a puzzle or break period? Or is that info a secret?
The one thing I can pick out to be odd is that the consoles (or whatever they are) seem too repetitive, but that might just be me. The shadows on the upper-level floor (most noticeably to me at 1:00 in) could stand to be a little darker, but that's also more personal preference.

The consoles and towers do all have uniquely animating textures - I think it's only from a shot as far away as this that you get that sense of repetitiveness, but I'll work on it some more. Cheers for the comment!

That was impressive!
I was thinking that the second floor would need something like a wall of glass around it, so it looks more like a laboratory.. Just my opinion.

The lower area is made up of glass-surrounded labs. The upper area is more computational and office-like. It'd take quite a dramatic restructuring to add glass to the upper area and I don't think it needs it. It'd also add a lot of entities that I can't really afford. Goldsource is very limited.
Thanks for the feedback!

I'm sorry I didn't had in consideration the limits of the Goldsource engine while writing the feedback. The video made me forget about them :P

Frustration at its limits makes us push the engine as hard as we can to punish it for being so limiting! :P Thanks for the comment

Makes me wonder what Valve was thinking when they mapped HL1.

Probably something like: "Jesus this level editor is crap!"

Consider that they were working with version 0.1 of Worldcraft... On a Pentium 2... 15 years ago. :P

MY GOD!!!!

this will have taken AGES to make, this trailer.
each time a wall, model or even light entity was added the map needed to be compiled, then trailer played and recorded.
Then take ALL those recordings and cut them up in a video editor to make this out of it. MY GOD!!!

really well done and it is a shame that most people probebly don't even realise HOW much work this has taken!

success,
Leon

Another delve into my design process for working on The Core. These videos have received wonderful feedback and I hope that this one lives up to your expectations!

Some slight camera fluctuations annoyingly stopped it syncing perfectly, but overall I think this gives a really nice look into the map from scratch.
