The Core is a total conversion single-player mod for Half-Life. Survive the disaster as Maurice Andrews, a low level engineer stationed in Black Mesa during the events of the resonance cascade. Seemingly trapped, Andrews must fight his way to the surface to survive.

I agree with you. There really isn't any need to make custom skyboxes because well goldsource already has a vast collection of them.

I know where you're coming from, but it's too low-definition to match up with the mapping and new textures. I would recommend recreating it, especially since Valve actually aligned it incorrectly.

I agree about changing the skybox to something a little higher quality. Compared to the level itself which looks incredible it just seems to stick out like a horrid smudge.

Many thanks! This area will undergo a lot of changes, though. You can already see the base of a transmitter tower, and you can expect some Black Mesa security jeeps and maybe more of an entrenched military presence.

Nope, I like the skybox as it is. No need for everything to be perfect. Also, what's WIP about this map? Everything is perfect. Maybe add a couple of signs or decals on the walls next to the gates/doors, so one knows where he was and where he goes.
