Good job :D i think that's be a better start, my only suggestion could be about the ceiling, it could look better with some transparent metal texture in the middle, anyways it's just a suggestion.

Always glad to see a new 'The Core' update! Nice to hear that you are reworking the intro maps, I think they are always the most important in a mod/game, where you get familirarized with the story/setting/characters. Excellent (and interesting) mapping over here. Maybe change the pipes/cables texture? It looks a bit off.

Once again, awesomely done and quickly delivered :) Keep going!

Just casually walking around with a syringe. Classic Urby.

The first step is admitting you have a problem. Maybe it's a cry for help.

Will this mod support cooperative play?

It's not being built with coop in mind no.

Dang, I loved playing Decay with my friend. I mean you don't have to go all out like developing coop-only puzzles or anything. Just a second spawn point and a way for a second player to connect, that's all I was meaning by coop.

Looks good, but I suggest you to diversify texture on the ceiling.

Thanks for the input. The ceiling has already been amended somewhat. :)

Aslong as you don't start thinking that you need to revamp every chapter :) a slippery slope that leads to DNF.

We have gone back and brought a lot of older chapters up to date, but that's only because we've added more and more textures and some of the older ones lacked the same amount of detail. A lot of these chapters are officially signed off so there's no worry of us getting bogged down with it. This change is simply in the interest of story. The original training map was nowhere near complete and elements will be recycled in the new opening chapter so nothing of value will be lost. :D

I love the idea of a pre-disaster chapter, it's great to see the lab working. Great job!

I love the floor-textures! I hope to hear proper footstep-sounds for that!

Description

Some decisions have been made recently to revamp the start of The Core. Where previously the player would need to run a small obstacle course and learn the new mechanics of the mod, this proved to be a little redundant overall. In it's place we are building a short pre-disaster chapter where you will meet the main characters, as well as getting to know the ins and outs of the central complex itself.
