The CitizenHalf-Life 2 mod | Released Feb 21, 2008The Citizen is set parallel to the events of the original Half-Life 2. The player takes the role of an ordinary man, pushed over the edge by the oppressive regime controlling his life. His home trashed, his family dead, The Citizen leaves his apartment for the last time. He seeks new friends, and a way to help the human resistance to smash the iron grip of the Combine. What follows is a winding tale of betrayal, determination and grief. Many obstacles lie in his path which require a sleek combination of agility, stealth, intelligence, and sheer violence to overcome. Originally released in November 2007 and re-released in February 2008, this singleplayer episode is still in the making, and 3 more chapters will be added to the two existing ones. We'd love to do something about the load times, and we are trying to do so for the sequel, so you should see some improvement in the time between the zones.
But because we're working with the old HL2 engine, we can't get rid of them. If you go back and play the original HL2 now, you'll be reminded that it has a lot of load zones too!

When I try to launch the game an error message says gameinfo.txt is not a valid format. I opened the file in notepad and it seems fine to me. Any suggestions?
I love the bit were you are in the Theatre and you go noclip through the wall into the room and you get teleported into the jail and he starts talking about cheating and then theres a poster with Breen saying "which hand did you open the console with?"to Kleiner^^ lol that was great.

I thought this mod was a thrill, Nice voice acting, Nice maps, Through out the hole thing i was sitting, Waiting to see what happines, this mod really looks like it heads up to the events of what the rebels did to prepare for Gordons arrival, Id love to talk about the ending with you, but. don't want to ruin it for everyone, BUT, the only problem i had, was how short each map is...like how it loaded every 5 minutes got pretty annoying, But all in all it was an incredible mod, Message me if you need a Beta Tester,

The ending is just a "to be continued" sequence which is followed by the events in part 2 (of which the latest screenshots are from). We have learned from our mistakes and the player will spend much more time in each map in the sequel, without any senseless backtracking gimmicks or things like that.
Don't get me wrong, i loved this mod, and im glad to see that your working out some problems. message me when you get the logs on the site.
Id love to read it.
We don't own Gmod or plan to give the map files to anyone at the moment, sorry :(
