Set in and around City 17, "The Citizen Part Two" contains the next three chapters of our citizen's story. After the events of the previous two chapters, you find yourself rescued from the grave by rebels, among whom you are now a valuable asset. Taken to a makeshift field hospital, you recover in the hands of rebel medics. But the Combine are determined to crush the rebels out of existence, and the peace can't last long. You will face choices, and how you decide to proceed will ultimately dictate how the story plays out for you. Some choices are less obvious than others, and require you to take initiative where you otherwise might be distracted. One way or another, it's time to take back the city.

In the following days, hopefully, the Moddb profile for the next release will be authorized and available in the following link, where we will post any new media and news.

We have decided to name the mod "The Citizen Returns" instead of "The Citizen Part III" because it will include the maps that made up Part II, and because this 17-map mod is what we originally intended to release as a sequel to 2008's "The Citizen" (it will be evident if you re-watch the first trailer for Part II).

The mod profile states that the release will take place around May. Hopefully all the voice acting and private playtesting will be done by then. It's a realistic date.

We really want to put this behind us and concentrate on Random Quest II.

Progress has been slower than usual over the past few months, mainly because of a lack of time and/or motivation on my part. Also, we are having some delays with voice actors, because they have busy lives themselves.

It seems to me unlikely now that we will be releasing this year, something for which I feel quite sorry. After all, it was me who put 2009 in the trailer, and told everyone (in January) that it would be done this year. Apologies for that.

However, the wheels are beginning to turn again, and I promise you, we will finish this thing! It will not be abandoned!

Just like Black Mesa as their trailer announce were been released this year after that this month's as they announce it were been release next year. Man, I hope your word can been trusted or else a lot of people were been disappointing.

The Citizen (2007-2008) and Random Quest (2009) should work as proof that we do release things.
The TBD (to be determined) date on this page is still as accurate as we can get, at least until I have time to actually work on it again starting December 19th, hopefully.

This mod is definately going to get finished. We've made far, far too much of it already to forget about it now. I swear to the highest overlords of the internet - Citizen 2 will be completed and released.

But we need a little more time.

I know I know, I won't arguing for not release it but I also pity that some of your development member have been kicked as inactive for the project and the program become slower due to lack of talent am I right ?

I was right you're a very small team compare to Combine Destiny as because they only update in only ONE AND A HALF YEAR'S AGO still haven't hear a news from them and which date were been released.

I might be ready by the end of Christmas, depending on how much we get done in that vacation period.
For different reasons, Chris Fox and I can't make much progress until then.
Although the bulk of the work is now tweaking the gameplay and playtesting, getting our voice acting samples from our actors is also slowing us down a bit.

Honestly the narriator in the trailer, i forgot his name, he really needs to show some emotion in his voice. the mod was good; but him, along with other absolutly terrible voice actors sorta killed some parts of the when the woman's husband gets shot, that was a bit lame, and when the rebels blow open a wall, that dude sounded completlely retarded.
Just sayin, more emotion/better voice actors=better mod.

Voice acting is evolving quite nicely (although slow) for this sequel. As you see some people return in their roles, and some better voice actors have joined us. Just don't expect miracles! We are not a 'professional' team and can't go to the length that those teams do in terms of people and sound mixing equipment.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod a great deal. Meticulously well mapped with regard to the multitude of structural levels with a wonderful array of interior styles ! Visuals were excellent - from the TOD lighting, texturing, decals ( loved that bank banner ! ) along with the emphasis on a wide array of art throughout ( which I really appreciated ). Loved the the constant usage of strong colors from beginning to end as well. A moment on the Casino - loved it ! The amount of thought, time and effort taken…
