Unreal: The Chosen One contains many new features and options.
Basically, it is an FPS, RPG elements are included (with a major influence to the gameplay), but still it's FPS. Experience points are given mostly for completing quests (primary & secondary), their amount depends on the importance of the quest completed. Also, experience is increased for eliminating enemies. This also depends on the adversary's rank - the amount of experience points granted for the kills is very small in comparison to quest awards - it helps, when the player needs little experience to gain a level.
Another major feature is spell casting. Not the idea itself, which already made an appearance in Nali Chronicles, but the spells themselves and the effects caused by using them (e.g. close-up spell, replacing the sniper scope, works with other weapons also).
The story will be presented by numerous engine-powered cutscenes, and of course the immortal LOGs scattered all over the game world.

Recently there was a rumor that TCO is dead... well... never believe a rumor. In fact we're alive and doing just fine. Progress is slow and release date is still "when it's done" so for now we'd like to show you our new Universal PDA.

It's not a static texture on a model, everything is interactive. What you see is a start menu (buttons glow on hover), below you have desktop, which shows basic informations about player character. So basically it's small palmtop with own GUI used to provide all information about player character, skills quests and progress in game.

It only means no mp3/ogg music don't worry. Distance fog is only a visual enhacement so you won't loose that much while playing it on mac ( though still something ).
It'll be as umod :). We have native code too, and as far as I know, it have problems with systems different then windows. I will try to make a patch which will delete all native stuff in TCO (this means no distance fog and music).
better not just release an .exe, us mac users will want to experience this mod too =>
After the base mod is released, would you be able to make a mutator for the weapons? It would be great on servers, TCO server!
All models are done, now anims and code. Most of weapons is done. I think that summer 2007 will be good time for release :). Understand us. We are trying to deliver mod bugless and working fast. There are two coders (meh and kea) and a lot of work. Beside I have studies, exams etc. :). So i can assure you that we will try to release mod as soon as we can, and the best we can do. Soon first betatests will start with half maps and most of weapons working. Our two sound engineers has done great job. When TCO will be finally out, you'll all know this :).
When is this mod gunna come out? I've been waiting for ever...
I'm kinda of a map maker myself, but i would probably never do what Kaka needs to do. My first succsessful map was: MH-Hotel Invasion. I think dynamic lighting is the most pain in the ass lol. :d

Yes. But rest of us did not stop developing. So Kaka will get finished and tested scripts to place on maps, and make gameplay with. So don't worry. Everything can turn only for better. Hope I didn't mess to much, my English suck ass:P
