Unreal: The Chosen One contains many new features and options.
Basically, it is an FPS, RPG elements are included (with a major influence to the gameplay), but still it's FPS. Experience points are given mostly for completing quests (primary & secondary), their amount depends on the importance of the quest completed. Also, experience is increased for eliminating enemies. This also depends on the adversary's rank - the amount of experience points granted for the kills is very small in comparison to quest awards - it helps, when the player needs little experience to gain a level.
Another major feature is spell casting. Not the idea itself, which already made an appearance in Nali Chronicles, but the spells themselves and the effects caused by using them (e.g. close-up spell, replacing the sniper scope, works with other weapons also).
The story will be presented by numerous engine-powered cutscenes, and of course the immortal LOGs scattered all over the game world.

- Upgradeable character skills (the maximum skill level depends on the skill type)
- Advanced particle system
- New HUD with four variations (Tiny, Small, Medium, Big)

Recently there was a rumor that TCO is dead... well... never believe a rumor. In fact we're alive and doing just fine. Progress is slow and release date is still "when it's done" so for now we'd like to show you our new Universal PDA.

It's not a static texture on a model, everything is interactive. What you see is a start menu (buttons glow on hover), below you have desktop, which shows basic informations about player character. So basically it's small palmtop with own GUI used to provide all information about player character, skills quests and progress in game.

Thanks for all the good opinions ( those bad ones too :) ), as for the rising triggered zone - no i didn't use this, and to be honest - have never heard of it. Maybe if I knew about that earlier I would have used it. I got all the maps ready, atm im working one the gameplay in last of them ( yes - this means this week is the alst week i work on maps at all - unloess there will be bugs found during betatesting ). we are very close.
You know, I've mapped for a while and I want to ask you Kaka. Have you ever made a Rising Triggered Zone? I've made a very crappy one one time. You can find the source code at (i think) Unreal Labs .com. Not sure though. It would be a great addition to TCO!
To tell the truth, this mod is the only reason I still have UT on my PC!

This evening we will post a huge update on TCO, along with detailed progress report, and a list of thing we still need to do to finish the mod. Expect some juicy pics as well.

Only three more maps left to finish the gameplay people. Few details left as well - like Ravens aid : some sounds, some effects and stuff. Be patient we are really working hard on this project ( despite some of us work on other projects as well ).

Be patient :). It's really hard to tell exactly release date. Before vacations will end we will start official betatests. And before final release you'll see final trailer :). And don't worry about teh mod. We won't release many screenshots from now on, but it doesn't mean we don't have a progress. It's not so easy, a specially since I'm the only coder in the team. In the gallery you'll find new sshot I forget to add here.
Please tell me, whats the TCO mod release date? I'm watching every day this site, and i don't no, where's the "big day"? I love this mod trailer, and i love this mod pictures. My frends and I wait the "big day"... :-D OMG (Please, make the weapons reload effects and animations. This mod's need this staf!)
