Hello we are back everyone. with big news to keep you up to date with the Art of War progress. First off We would like to Apologize to The Point of Existence team. we had a little problem with their models. (the F/a-18F, m109A6, and M270) these unit's will still be included in TAOW but the models will need to be Re-done.

1) C-130 in 2 Gray and 2 Green varients.
- This unit will be able to Drop Supplies, and unit's ingame. It may not carry heavy Vehicles such as Main battle tanks. but can carry other light vehicles. Heavy vehicles will be brought to the battlefield by Air using The C-17.
- 2 varients for 2 terrain conditions. and to give "Randomization" for more realism.
- This unit can drop off Infantry and more. it will play an important role for supplies and Transport

2) F/A-22 Raptor.
- This Unit is the Main Air to Air Fighter. In game, Equipped with long-range and short-range Missiles.( Each Weapon will be selectable.)
- This Aircraft is not Carrier Operable.

3) AND THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!!! (not any mod release)

The First Eu unit Ever is... The Leopard 2A6
- It's is One of the Eu's Main battle tanks. We are still deciding on How the Eu will play out and which vehicles to pick.

The Raptor looks really good. Just fyi though that the US dropped the A portion of the name when the Raptor went into true production (it's just the F-22 now as opposed to F/A-22). Makes sense given that its ground attack capabilities are presently limited to only guided bombs and its range of equippable munitions does not at all approach either the F-15E's or F-16's, both of which still retain just the F moniker as opposed to the F/A moniker (embraced by the F/A-18 which definitely earns it; I am surprised though that so far the JSF/Lightning II is still maintaining just the F moniker as well, for that craft would be ideal for the F/A moniker; in short, if the JSF/Lightning II is not using F/A, the Raptor definitely isn't). Anyway, hope that helps- and gl.

Exactly, the Raptor had two previous designations, the YF-22 (prototype version) and F/A-22 (three years before formally entering the USAF).
The main (formal) actual designation is F-22 Raptor (these details are obviously gonna be entered in the final ingame vehicle name).
It funny, about the F-35 many people are still use to call it F/A-35 :)
In the playable mod versions expect to find accurate names and only real military designations (its the final objective of this mod :D )
Many thanks! By the way, you must love planes, just like i do :) so check out the FB-22, it looks like it's gonna be really cool ;)

The F-22 Raptor will be the F-22A in the mod (just like the USAF's real life designation).
Oh, check out the Northrop YF-23. The F22 won over this model, but this one is cool-lookin too, and there are some rumours that there's a chance that it might (MIGHT) enter service in the USAF (the other competing aircraft are the FB-22 and the B-1R).

Yeah, I am a fairly big fan and follower of military aircraft. I had been heading-up the Air Power Mod for first Act of War: High Treason and then Supreme Commander but there just wasn't support for such a project in either game, and when the opportunity to begin the standalone game Wartide came along...

Sadly, I don't think the FB-22 or B-1R are in the race anymore, given that the Air Force has announced it will be creating a B-3 instead. Admittedly, I'm rather skeptical about the B-3 because I do not see the need for a new, piloted strategic bomber. At the moment, the US's fleet of B-52's, B-1B's, and B-2's more than suffice for strategic bombing. If there is anything the US needs to improve on it's stealthy, rapid-response bombing, which the FB-22 or B-1R could definitely accomplish for a much smaller price tag than a B-3. Even the YF-23 could be retooled to work well in such a role potentially.

That's exactly right, that B3 project (aka "2018 Bomber") will have many developments over the next years (like new final goals, and stuff like that).
At this time the USAF (and NATO itself) is upgrading their stealth technology (with such deadly aa systems being built all around it is a must for future military aircraft to be extremely stealthy, or... bye bye :)
About the B3 project...well, time will tell, and cash of course :D

UAV (Unmanned aerial vehicle) technology will also play a big role in future wars (it is already in big use).
The Unmanned Combat Air Vehicles will be very used too (judging by the actual rapid UAV technology growth).
The UCAV's are getting pretty advanced, new projets are being researched in many counties (just check out the cool european Dassault nEUROn, or the american X-47 Pegasus), the UCAV's will must likely be used in future wars Big Time.
We will obviously include UAV technology in TAOW, but i can't say much about it right now :)

There is a huge disparity in the quality of texturing and modelling between many of these units, what's up with that?

i have no idea what u just said. the models are not my creation i say again. if ur talking about the way the camo stuff dont match. thats mybad. its hard to get them right. i have my own style of teturing. f-22 skin looks a little different because i didnt make it from scratch i used real life images

hmm maybe i need to fix the tanks angle. yes indeed it does have a different gun. but i dont see how the gun is too short. i looked at images. is the swedish strv122 a L2a5 or 2a6? i guess i will need to work on the gun. i thought it used the same one as abrams.(i read somewhere)

Terranup16, i love planes too. i want to be fighter pilot in da future.

Like what I've been seeing here, but I'm wondering why you're running it off Zero hour rather then something.... newer. I know the main point of this mod is gameplay but still many people {me included} find a games graphical prettiness a vital factor in whether or not we like it.

No offense intended.

Yes, we thought about it. but if we did it for command and conquer 3 it would take many new skillz in which we dont have. were used to generals. + cnc3 is mostly futurer we would have to replace every 3d object to meet the time era. There would be way too much work to do.
