A Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour total conversion. This Mod focuses on Modern and Near Future Combat using the latest Military technology and armament.
This Big Bird is the US's Strategic Airlifter and will carry out the "heavier" transport duties.
The C-17A will carry many of the American Heavy Units into the battlefield (units which can't be carried by smaller transport aircraft such as the C-130J).
At this exact moment, this bird is already rolling on TAOW's Battlefields, the vehicle deployment system is already working as well (this plane can drop heavy vehicles on any map location).
So the C-130 is replaced?
Aw,
Flotsam
On the contrary, the C-17 will complement the C-130 in the heavier transport duties (the C-130J will take care of the "lighter" duties such as light vehicle, supply or paratrooper transport while the C-17 will transport tanks and other heavy hardware which cannot be carried on the C-130 due to it's limitations).
As you can see on these images, the C-130J Super Hercules will appear as well ^^:

will ther be AC-130?
Yup, the AC-130U Spooky to be more specific.
i thot the ac-47 was the spooky? im pretty sure the ac-130 is the spectre, not that piece-of-s*** that they had in ZH
Indeed the AC-47 is known as the "Spooky" (aka "Puff, the Magic Dragon").
The AC-130 haves various names depending on the specific variant in question. The "Spectre" typically refers to the older AC-130H variant while the more recent AC-130U is known as the "Spooky" (or "Spooky II" as a reference to the older AC-47 Spooky).
ah. gotcha. im assuming that ur striving to get nearly complete accuracy for the fact that not many people (that i no) know about the nickname "puff"
I really like this mod cool models...
so do you build a big airfeild where everything gets dropped off, or do come by a big parachute? awesome looking mod by the way.
Thanks mate.
Yup, though there will be various deployment methods the main one is airdrop.
New Units will be called in by Command Vehicles (CV's) and will be deployed by aircraft to a nearby location (close to the CV which called it).
Command Vehicles are the new Command Center counterparts (these will provide mobile command, calling in reinforcements, asset deployment, etc.), think of them as mobile Command Centers.
One prototype of such a command vehicle is the Stryker M1130, check it's topic in TAOW's forums for extra info: Taow.simulationboard.com
Look like the game Join Task Force !!!
will there be an AWACS (airborne warning an control system)?
