The 7th Hour is a mod that places the player in the role of Adrian Shephard both during The 7-Hour War as well as after its conclusion. A story-driven, action-packed, single-player experience, players will see first hand the events of The 7-hour war and the processes and equipment the combine utilized to batter down the human race into submission.
The 7th Hour will feature:
- The 7-Hour War from start-to-end-to-aftermath
- New NPC's, including the classic fauna of Xen and synths that Gordon only got to glimpse (and some he didn't) in the original Half-Life 2 story
- New and varied locations that reflect a changing world.
- New weapons (and new models for thematically old ones!)
- And much more.
Our pride and joy of this mod, so far, has been the amount of thought and concept work that has gone into its story and gameplay. Huge efforts have been made by the entire team to keep the plot not only interesting, but also to make sure it fits into preexisting HL canon as best as possible while bringing in new and fresh ideas. The plot of our mod brings together two of the most overused and under-realized mod ideas out in the HL2 community, “The Return of Shephard” and “The Seven Hour War”. However, we have counteracted both of these faults by creating a plotline that is not only complete, but one that will be intriguing and fun to play. Not only that, but a map of actual gameplay is currently being worked on and nearing completion.
