This Zone is a much harsher environment. With factions against factions, the mutants against everyone and the Military trying to control it all.
A wider angle on this area. Notice how the dirt has covered a lot of the asphalt, the truck has overgrowth around it. The area just looks a touch more abused. Lot's of little details and easter eggs here.
Great job! Seriously, this is turning out to be the best mod I have seen for COP... I have said this about Return of the shadows as well because they are introducing their own levels, or something like that with their secret models.
Way of the Wolf is lookin gewd too but yeah.. The environment overhaul on TGZ is just incredible. Can't wait for this shiznit to be released.. I hope it won't rape my system like SGM..
I would say this requires quite a bit of ram and hard drive space
looks good though
I have a QX6850 3ghz / 4gb RAM / Windows 7 / GTX275.
The frame rate difference from vanilla to TGZ is negligible. So if you can run vanilla with a good fps then this should run fine as well.
Also, I'm trying to keep things in balance. Skadovsk interior is dense, but it's occluded. So it doesn't factor in when you're outside.
I've removed just about all the rocks on the level and about 80% of the reeds. Talk about useless geometry there - so new geometry, like the Guardhouse above, within the frustum shouldn't add to the draw. If anything, it might bring it back up to what it used to be in vanilla.
It's good to hear that you're optimizing the maps! My video card is actually quite overkill for my processor.
GTX460 1GB
AMD Athlon X2 240
3GB RAM
Windows Vista HP 64Bit
I'm trying my best to keep the minimum vanilla requirements intact. Part of the 'I don't want TGZ to ruin or otherwise 'change' the vanilla experience, just add to it' mentality that we started with.
^ Made of pure win. Fantastic work, well done!!!
