Because who doesn't want another art-mod? We all know that game designers can follow the rules and make good games. Why can't the rules be bent? Although this is nothing more than an experimentation, tedium is a proof of concept. Hopefully.
Explore a boiled down version of the modern way of living. Or give into it. The story is what you make of it.

After a few months of on and off work, I've done as much as I dare. The result, tedium. Now available here to anyone with Source SDK Base 2007 (so, pretty much any one with any Source game). Sorry for those who have to download it, I can't use Ep2 anymore because of code changes.
Stroking your chin whilst playing is recommended, and remember not to have too much fun.
Any feedback is more than welcome, or have a look at my blog. Thanks for downloading!

very cool mod, i hope to see something more substantial in the future.
spoiler alert: I593.photobucket.com (i love this place, i want to see more)
Okay
although I really like this mod in a technical perspective, I find the premise very unoriginal. It has been done a lot of times in games and other media. I know it's one of the concerns of 21st century artists, but....still...
However I would like to see a spiritual succesor. It would be nice to make it more abstract or more story-driven. An artists view on the city or a tale about loneliness in a seemingly beauty full city. Those are subjects I've rarely seen in a game, so....yeah...consider? :-D
Anyways, I can't say I didn't like the mod. Again, the mapping and lightning is awesome!

I was going to say my opinion, though this guy sums it up. Its been done before, but Its a nice testament of your skills.
Hmmm... couldn't figure out how to move the couch... but I DID get underneath the elevator! Looks... so strange!
feels like my life
Just making that comment is a proof that this doesn't look like your life at all :-D
The premise is like a nightmare, but there are very few people who live like this and YOU aren't one of them.

Awesome mod! You really should make another one, maybe a bit longer. As I've read in the comments, it DOES feel like Everyday Same Dream, only on the Source engine. For all the folks who get stuck in the letter part, you just don't get the game's concept... even though there's nothing to add to this mod (maybe a sequel, as I said earlier), I'm tracking it.
40 Megabytes for a couple of letters, and a small map?
Sorry, expected to play more than 4 minutes.
But it's still beautiful
Intersting modification:)
