Team Fortress is an online action game that features a wide variety of character classes -- from Medic to Spy to Demolition Man -- enlisted in a unique style of online team warfare.
Originally released in 1996 by Austrailian based Team Fortress Software, TF has been downloaded by millions of people as it has evolved and become one of the most popular online action games of all time.
The latest incarnation of this multiplayer phenomenon, Team Fortress 1.5, is now available as a free add-on for Half-Life and adds an advanced user-interface system (V-GUI), new networking and server technologies, new scenarios, and spectator modes.
Team Fortress 1.5 also serves as a point of reference for those who are interested in what Valve has in store for the upcoming Team Fortress 2: Brotherhood of Arms.
Players can upgrade to Team Fortress 1.5 via Half-Life's in game update tool or by downloading the latest Half-Life update available from Sierra.com.

I play TFC all the time ya know. There is no other mod I have played as much. For ANY game.
this mod will probably get better if a new version comes out, its been at 1.5 for the past what, 3-4 years...
i dont know how the hell i get this since i got cs retail..
I used to love playing TFC but now i play cs dod fa ts....like some1 else said its for younger players, but dont get me wrong its one of the best hl mods out there!
You can revive the Team Fortress idea and make it better, hell, something of a Starcraft/TF or Halo/TF hybrid would definatly spice things up.
i would only recommend this mod to younger children, maybe ages 9-13
otherwise its way too simple and frankly, lame.
TFC lives on through Nexus Fortress 3000~!!! New School TFC will be added soon.
This used to be the best mod ever, until i found out it wasnt the only mod in half-life :P
after your clan wins EU best and yaselfe comes 8,3,24 in single tournaments it gets boring :(
omg... i forgot all about this shit - i have no clue how... but still, tfc > all forEVA!!! tfc is fun as shit, no hacks, its not hard, its jsut sum fun shit and i own at it!!! woooooo hooooooooo
