First I want to thank everyone for the 10K+ views for the mod. This is VERY belated. But thank you.
Second I want to address the guys in the discord, you've been great. answering questions and playing has been nothing short of enjoyable. I hope more people in not only discord but steam continue to join us. Which allows me to segue into this:
To build some form of schedule we'll be active on the weekends for certain. so jump in discord and ask people to start playing. I'll throw out a announcement on the steam group and get people going there.
Now to explain the "Proverbial locking myself out of the car" comment:
Recently discord has been acting weird for me. I actually last night tried to reach out to the SMC discord and upon joining it flagged my browser client as a bot. Figured "weird" and went and pasted the link into my desktop application of discord and joined. Within seconds I found myself locked out of actual discord account I use to communicate with those in the TF2V discord. My account flagged as "a bot".
As discord asked for validation of email and I had used a burner to send it amongst other things I figured "well I'll jsut reset my password, I can still access my burner."
To my surprise somehow my email used to register the L Gaim user had also been tied to an account named "Discordisabotnet". Right now it's an uphill battle as I can';t even create a new account as as soon as I join a channel or even talk it triggers this. To make matters worse devanon, who wished to not draw attention to himself has no admin on the discord and thus the discord is left a bit lawless right now. I ask those in the discord group to bear with us as I wrestle with this. Discord has given me issues in the past and I do not own or wish to own a cell phone (personal reasoning, also financial.) So I can't simply tie a number to the account. Trying to contact their support has given me the bog standard "It's working as intended" despite needing to solve a captcha to not only register an account but to submit a help request boggles my mind.
Anyways hopefully we can get back on track and I can talk to willing people in the SMC discord to lend a quick hand with bug fixes.

Idea: stop using discord.
It's a good net for players outside steam. We still have threads back on the site we originate out of. I've personally moved over to Riot.im which is a Open sourced version of discord with a bit more FREE as in FREEDOM behind it including the ability to block analytics and other telemetry
Why are analytics and other telemetry so bad?
Basically companies can build up a profile on who you are, collect data on where you go and whatnot. Personally I just don't like the thought of a company knowing my interests without me telling them directly. I would honestly suggest spending some time looking at a lot of the issues it causes not only for personal security but privacy as well.
Why didn't you use your own email? I mean Gmail is free
I'm a bit of a privacy nut. and I tend to use burner emails for a lot of services. I used to use hushmail but my accounts fell into disuse and as a result I got locked out unless I wanted to spend money. Hushmail requires a phone # now so that's another scratch off my list.
I took some precautions with this one though. Instead of a disposable email I used a disposable hotmail account. Still had to wrestle with **** but hey we're fixed now
I mean you can fill out the gmail with fake info. You just have to remember the password.
I mean if you look at the name this account is tied to I doubt anyone out there is named "**** Faggotson".
If they are I'm truly sorry for them.
