Yesterday, a new version (1.1) of The Dark Army: Uprising's English (US) edition was released as a Christmas gift to all fans of both the modification and the original game. If you already own the previous version of the mod, no need to worry, just click on the left button to download the patch to upgrade it. If you don't have the mod installed on your computer, you can download its already-patched full version by clicking on the right button. For recall, you don't need the original game installed on your computer to play.

Hier, une nouvelle version (1.1) de l'édition en Anglais (US) de The Dark Army: Uprising est arrivée telle un cadeau de Noël à tous les fans du mod mais aussi du jeu original. Si vous possédez déjà la version précédente du mod, nul besoin de paniquer, cliquez juste sur le bouton gauche pour télécharger le patch afin de procéder à la mise à niveau. Si vous n'avez pas le mod d'installé sur votre ordinateur, vous pouvez télécharger sa version complète déjà-patchée en cliquant sur le bouton droit. Pour rappel, l'installation du jeu original sur votre ordinateur n'est pas requise pour pouvoir jouer.

This new version ain't the final one in any way: new versions of The Dark Army: Uprising will be released sometime in 2017. These new versions will bring many new improvements and features of course, such as subtitles support, thanks to a new version of the critically-acclaimed RealRTCW engine mod that The Dark Army: Uprising is running on. In fact, the engine mod's developer, WolfETPlayer, as expressed enthusiasm regarding subtitles implementation to RealRTCW. All that can be confirmed right now is that he'll use Eugeny Panikarowsky's Subtitles mod as a base. Although it's not confirmed yet, it's highly probable that this new version of RealRTCW will be released next year, sometime in 2017. When it will be released, a new version of The Dark Army: Uprising will be released, including the engine improvements in order to propose subtitles for the players.

Cette nouvelle version n'est en aucun cas l'ultime: de nouvelles versions de The Dark Army: Uprising sortiront courant 2017. Ces nouvelles versions apporteront plein de nouvelles améliorations et nouveautés, comme les sous-titres par exemple, grâce à une nouvelle version du très acclamé RealRTCW que The Dark Army: Uprising utilise. En fait, son développeur, WolfETPlayer, s'est révélé enthousiaste vis-à-vis de l'implémentation de sous-titres dans RealRTCW. Tout ce qui est sûr pour l'instant c'est qu'il utilisera le Subtitles mod d'Eugeny Panikarowsky comme base. Même si cela n'a pas encore été confirmé, il est très probable que cette nouvelle version de RealRTCW sorte l'année prochaine, courant 2017. Quand elle sera disponible, une nouvelle version de The Dark Army: Uprising sortira, incluant les améliorations faites au moteur de jeu, dans le but de proposer des sous-titres au joueurs.

Recently, some experimental tests were done during the development of version 1.1. These are in part related to the potential implementation of a dog-tags system in the mod, based on in-game console variables. This extra feature will most likely be available from the player's notebook, where he/she will be able to check the list of the enemy soldiers he/she killed, and of course their dog-tags with their name(s) on it. Please note it's a just-for-fun feature, aiming to add a layer of both extra-content and realism to the modification. Such a feature may very well arrive next year as well.

Récemment, quelques tests expérimentaux furent effectués durant le développement de la version 1.1. Il sont en partie liés à l'implémentation potentielle d'un système de dog-tags dans le mod, basé sur des cvars spécifiques. Cette petite nouveauté sera très probablement disponible depuis le carnet de route du joueur, où il aura la possibilité de jeter un œil à la liste des soldats ennemis qu'il/elle aura tué, mais aussi à leurs dog-tags avec leur nom(s) gravé dessus. Notez s'il vous plait qu'il s'agit seulement d'une nouveauté faite vraiment pour le fun, visant à ajouter à la fois une couche de contenu et de réalisme au mod. Une telle nouveauté arrivera très probablement l'année prochaine également.

Until subtitles support is implemented into The Dark Army: Uprising's engine, having a French edition of the modification would only be half useful at the moment, considering the voices will remain in English. It would not be that useful to only translate the UI/HUD elements. The French edition of The Dark Army: Uprising will be released sometime in 2017 as well, once subtitles are implemented.

Jusqu'à que les sous-titres soient implémentés dans le moteur de jeu de The Dark Army: Uprising, avoir une édition française du mod ne serait qu'à moitié utile pour l'instant, en considérant que les voix du jeu resteront en anglais. Il ne serait pas très utile de traduire seulement les éléments de l'interface. L'édition française de The Dark Army: Uprising sortira courant 2017 également, une fois que les sous-titres auront été implémentés.

As it was announced last week, the official Return to Castle Wolfenstein™ 15th Anniversary Event was delayed to an unknown time, possibly before 2017, due to the fact that event's host and commentator, TheRenegadist, is currently unavailable. We sincerely hope you can understand. Until then, let's talk a bit of what you can expect from this event.

The event was shortcut-ed to a dozen of minutes, and will not feature a retrospective but four consecutive exclusive trailers (not six as it was previously announced). Showcased projects are: Dingenskirchen (Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory map), Dystopia (Return to Castle Wolfenstein multiplayer map), The Dark Army: Uprising and an unannounced project. Two previously announced projects will not be featured: 15th Anniversary Edition (aim has changed; name changed too; evolved into something else, not ready to be shown yet) and Remade Weapons II.

Cet évènement fût raccourci à une douzaine de minutes, et ne proposera pas de rétrospective mais bien quatre bandes-annonces exclusives consécutives (non six comme annoncé précédemment). Les projets concernés sont: Dingenskirchen (map pour Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory), Dystopia (map multijoueur pour Return to Castle Wolfenstein), The Dark Army: Uprising et un projet non-annoncé. Deux projets précédemment annoncés n'apparaitront pas: 15th Anniversary Edition (le but a changé; le nom également; a évolué en quelque chose d'autre, pas prêt à être montré) et Remade Weapons II.

Sheesh, cutscenus maximus. At least allow the player to skip the cutscenes. It took me 10+ minutes just to get to actual gameplay and then I had to sit through half of it again because I got shot in the back by an enemy that spawned behind me.

I agree that the long cutscenes are kind of annoying, after you've seen them once. At least one patch/update was promised to be released for this mod sometime in the future. Maybe the option to skip cutscenes will be added then.

TITEUF-85 Hope you had a good new year :)

Have you implemented the Return to Wolfenstein main music to the Summary page? Because I've checked to see if it was an autoplay of a video but doesn't seem to be.

If so then that is so coooooool :D

Just downloaded 1.1 and cant wait to try it :)

So this looks cool guys but I have a problem - when installing your 1.1 everything seemingly works, except it's like the widescreen patch or something is not doing its job properly - I can certainly select widescreen resolutions and it will even kinda work but the bigger the resolution the more of the screen will be missing -and- my crosshair aim/weapons will be off to the side.. basically, it's like I'm trying to run a higher res on a lesser pixel allocation so everything is off-centered and parts of the screen are missing. Any idea how I can fix this? I installed it stand-alone, perhaps make an install with the GOG version of RTCW that I have?

Уважаемый TITEUF-85.Изучил Ваше Творение от начала и до конца.В двух режимах сложности.Я так и не смог разгадать загадку уровня Crypt по поводу скрытых тайников.Геймплэй приятный с самого начала захватывает.Интересные вещи которые я находил:Папку с документами на уровне Crypt,Люгер с глушителем на уровне Sewers,отсылки ко многим другим хорошим дополнениям,Ваше Имя на уровне Crypt,Фото мужчины в очках на уровне Village,Драгоценные обьекты в виде чаши,Фото кота на уровне Base,Картину с птицами на уровне Base.Вобщем Вам Спасибо.Думаю что многие оценят ваше Творение Положительно !.С Уважением Владимир.

Hi @jarek84.

Open the console and type "\com_hunkMegs 512" or "\com_hunkMegs 1024", that should fix this issue.

Nice improvement of first release, more enjoyable with fixed gameplay and new weapons! Also there are again some strange points but in the complex it's a good mod!
