Tamriel Rebuilt is a community mod project which aims to recreate portions of The Elder Scrolls universe. We are currently developing the province of Hammerfell as a modification for TES IV: Oblivion. Using our own stylistic interpretations along with established TES lore, we intend to flesh out this province and create an engaging gameplay experience. We are approaching this enormous task on a region by region basis, selecting small portions, developing them fully and moving on. This will not only enable us to explore all areas of TES IV modding, but will allow us to take advantage of the broad range of talent available in our community.

We at Tamriel Rebuilt are happy to announce the release of the Beta version of our first project for Oblivion: the island of Stirk!

How much does the Beta include?
The Beta of Stirk includes completed interiors, exteriors, updated worldmap, NPCs, AI, and transportation to the island. It also includes Objects of Tamriel, which is all the new objects we have made for the island, such as new books, retextures of buildings, and new ground textures.

Where can you download Stirk?
We have placed Stirk up for download in the Public Downloads section of our forums, located here. In order to download the file, you will have to register an account at our forums.

What is in the future for Stirk and Tamriel Rebuilt?
Finishing Stirk is obviously on our minds. Voice acting and quest scripting is in the works, as is the importing of three new meshes.

Beyond Stirk, we have our eyes on a much bigger target: the province of Hammerfell. We have already begun work on the organization of this province.

Does Tamriel Rebuilt need any help?
YES! Hammerfell is going to be a huge undertaking, and we need willing people to lend us their modding talents. In terms of organization, we have things planned out to make Hammerfell progress as smoothly and swiftly as possible, but we cannot do this without able modders to help us. We will especially need help in the areas of texturing, mesh creation and scripting. If you want to help us in these areas, but do not know how and want to learn, we have several members that will be more than happy to tutor you. Of course, we are also happy to have all other types of modders, ranging from cell builders to voice actors to concept artists to testers and reviewers.

Enjoy the Stirk beta, and we hope to see you on our forums!

TR Stirk 1 TR Stirk 3
TR Stirk 4 TR Stirk 6

Regards from Tamriel Rebuilt

I think it's fair to require registration for downloading a whole free mod, beta or not. Although as some have pointed out, the retards with the attention span of a strung-out goldfish eg most gamers, won't be downlaoding it.

And, great work :)

Ive been tracking this mod since my freshman year in high school, im currently in college, and i'm amazed that it actually got somewhat done. This is the most enormous mod ever built, and will take the expansiveness of morrowind III to a whole new lvl. Play this, and play it as long as you can. ::)>

you dont need an acount to DL, you can just come in and DL as a guest.

and we will be making the next major release (presumably the final) avaliable at all kinds of places.

btw, .76 is out. it fixes many of the reported problems, as well as many unreported ones.
