After realizing that it would be difficult to make the world of wenda in the unreal engine 3, I decided to use the cry engine 2 that seems to handle huge open outdoors without a problem.
It took me a day to learn the basics of the sandbox 2 (crysis's level editor), I started to important all the assets that where done into the cry engine.
In the other hand, modeling architecture will be easier in this type of engine, since we wont have to worry about the UVs for the light maps to avoid obvious seams and artifacts (overlapping UVs).
The amount of control regarding the weather effects is just stunning, artists can easily setup a specific mood by moving some sliders in the TOD (time of day) editor.

Beautiful work. The music, the concept art, the screen-shots; everything posted here makes me impatient for updates. If you're struggling with English grammar, by the way, I'd love to edit your writing, even if just for this site. It's not a big deal, but it can go a long way in presenting a professional image.
This mod's visuals remind me of "Shadow of the Colossus". Great style.
forums are down or the site that the forums are hosted on is down... or something. trudvanggame.com
it will be back online with a new site and a new bord :)
great, the old board was flooded with ads.
kewl
it looks like Uncharted
i thought that too
i posted a thread on your forum under "presenting yourself" about being an additional level designer
Really looking forward to this mod,(i registered just to comment) keep up the good work. :)
couple of things really mate.
first its looking really nice. and really clean.
you say you will release if for PS3 but I dont think you will. mainly your levels are going to be far to detailed to work with ps3s limited memory. also and this is your biggest problem. Its not possible to add sounds or music to a PS3 as the codec is not owned by epic. so they cannot let you send it to the PS3.
Its a shame cause im working on something like you but where gutted to find out.
also i wanted to know if you would be interested in joining a prop swap thing im setting up. cause my team need more props as does yours.
our work is good to a high level.
heres just one example.
