I've also played a bit of the standard games, which seem fine. However, where are the campaigns? Did i do something wrong?

There aren't any included campaigns yet. Making the mod fit for singleplayer and multiplayer was a task in itself! We hope you enjoy those aspects. We are quite sure the community will design excellent campaigns with ToME!

We have been told that ToME works fine for a downloaded version, although we do not officially support that.

Anyway, can you confirm that a) you have 1.0c patch installed, and no further patch (e.g. 1.0e and UserPatch); and b) you have not installed another mod currently, or in the past (some mods may not have uninstalled correctly)?

If all else fails, try re-installing your Conquerors first, with the 1.0c patch. Then install ToME again. Hope this solves it.

I'm really can't think of any reason why your install is failing. We are improving the install process for the next update, by using the UserPatch just as Forgotten Empires does. But till then, perhaps reinstalling Conquerors from scratch might help. Since yours is a downloaded game, I believe you have the setup with you. ;)

Excellent game. Units are have amazing detail. I don't like the design of the Elven buildings but hey, that's just opinion. I haven't noticed any glaring glitches. **Just a few problems... After opening the game a few times, it stopped playing 'Lord of the Rings main theme' and replaced it with the standard medley. I suppose that if I reinstalled it, it would work just fine but I'm far too lazy. I noticed that Rohan, as an AI, will build the Hornburg rather than the standard castle for that type…
