We got a new designer who just re-did every single unit in the game :p We've now got unique looking units for all the realms, so we've been a bit slow. Expect the update to be mindblowing!

This is the first and only version so far. I think you are looking for the 1.0c patch that must be installed before ToME is installed. Download it here: Aok.heavengames.com

Can't! AoK is proprietary and we are just a fan mod over the game. :)

So far working on ToME is so taxing that we haven't been able to make any campaigns yet. We welcome contributions!

Not really, those aspects are controlled by the core mechanics of the game. There are workarounds to be sure, but none of them are elegant and faultless.
In any case, AoK's levelling-up system affects all units at once, unlike in BFME, which is IMO a better (less tedious) approach.

Excellent game. Units are have amazing detail. I don't like the design of the Elven buildings but hey, that's just opinion. I haven't noticed any glaring glitches. **Just a few problems... After opening the game a few times, it stopped playing 'Lord of the Rings main theme' and replaced it with the standard medley. I suppose that if I reinstalled it, it would work just fine but I'm far too lazy. I noticed that Rohan, as an AI, will build the Hornburg rather than the standard castle for that type…
